Rival Towns?

Does the town that you are from / or live in have a rival nearby?

Is it a better slugfest than the rivalry better Gloucester (yay) and Cheltenham (boo!)?

Not really, Leeds is the only decent city in Yorkshire. Gotta go further afield to get any rival.

No, that surely doesn't work because even Glasgow and Edinburgh are too far apart Geographically to rival each other. The same can be said for Liverpool & Manchester. Ipswich and Norwich too, they're in different counties too!

Edinburgh - Glasgow, I suppose. The more intense rivalry is the one between different areas of Edinburgh, which is based mainly on football teams.

bromsgrove (yay!) and redditch (eurgh)
though in bromsgrove there is even rivalry between the towns 2 high schools
south (woo!) and north (yuck)

and now... i live by the sea (even more woo!)
