Not strictly towns but I feel theres a rivalry between the Black Country and Birmingham, obviously the Black country wins hands down as brummies are thick and sound stupid.

Mainly football tbh. It's not often we get to play the dingles these days, but when it happens....Booooommm. Accrington is a smaller town in between the two, It's like down town Baghdad after the match.

Burgess Hill (my town)/ Haywards Heath. Four or so miles apart, both of a similar size.

Most of the people from HH have beef against Burgess Hill and the people here, and really look down their noses at us. They think we're 'common' because the house prices are about 10% lower, but in truth we live in pretty much the same cack town but with cheaper housing.

They're right though, HH > Burgess Hill. I know where you're coming from, but given the choice it'd be HH everytime for me.
