Mass Effect coming to the PC in May!

MOH airborne is totally unmoddable and thats on ue3. Reason being they developed the game as the engine was evolving and making it moddable would require a massive code rewrite. Could also hold true for mass effect.

How does that work? If you get unrealed with the game then you should be able to edit the game the exact same way the devs did surely?

Looks really good, I assume if will be under the Games For Windows brand which personally I like. Would be great if it had achievements as well.

Also will there be a demo pre-release has I would like to have a quick go before buying?

Great news, this plays exactly like kotor games as in game style with a party with 3rd person and big worlds and similar ui to kotor, been waiting for pc version for ages and i knew it was coming even tho it was exclusive to 360 it was just a matter of "when". :)

Btw i thought mass effect used the kotor / nwn engine not ut3?

Very much so. They're even making cutbacks now, like Halo 3 running at below 720p.

Wow the more I hear this stuff about consoles now the less I want to buy one, first the noise of the 360 and then they cutting back on games, makes me glad to own a decent PC tbh :D.

Good. The inventory really sucked, along with the texture pop-up. I always thought it could be a good pc game if played to the pc's strengths (mouse+keyboard control, etc). Means I gotta buy it again tho, hmmm....

Will prob wait to see if it's moddable and try and get it cheap off one of those 'offshore' companies.

Dunno but people were waiting on moding tools for airborne coming out and lately the following statement was issued:

I'm sorry this is coming later than I anticipated but here's the info on the mod tools for Airborne:

I've been working with people on the team, including our technical director, and unfortunately I have to report that we won't be delivering mod tools for Airborne. The simple honest answer is that the version of Unreal Engine 3 we used to ship Airborne did not support modding. We have been involved in several code updates since the ship of the game, but the varied costs of integrating a newer version of UE3 backwards into Airborne to allow modding is prohibitive. There is too much code we'd have to update, and it would essentially mean rebuilding too much of the game's architecture.

Had Epic been farther along with UT3 while we were developing Airborne, things would have been different, but that is unfortunately what happens when you develop a game while the technology is still being developed.

Thats settles it, the Xbox is going on the MM.

Wouldnt mind selling my Elite now, only got it a couple of weeks ago, £260 anyone ? Pretty much EVERY 360 game is on the PC now, and usually.......better, only thing i could think of usin it for is DVD's :(.
