In an somewhat ironic twist, the behemoth that is the PS3 is getting beaten by...well, itself. The latest news coming from Japan: Sony's own Computer Entertainment Software team is parting ways with Sony. The team behind such masterpieces as Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, have stated that, "Creativity is the foundation of our team, and the PS3 does nothing to embrace that, but rather, severs it at it's heels." The cold statement, made by one of the team's co-founders, is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to 'internal mudslinging'. Another former chairmen announced publicly yesterday that, "We will begin searching for a new platform to reside with and as such, will being hiring 200 new members for our team." With all the attacks at the hands of Sony employees, the only logical question is to ask, why? Newly hired Sony Director Higaru Tickeru, gave us a somewhat lengthy and very bold e-mail explaining the recent events:

"Sony has become the very visual image of Ouroboros. They are blinded by their own power and as a result, refuse to admitt their flaws and mistakes. Their so-called expert advisors lead them to believe that every choice they have made has been perfectly executed, but that could not be farther from the truth. In a personal sense, they have ruined us by throwing out dev kits that are near-impossible to decode. In a broader sense however, they have done their customers wrong, which makes their low-sales completely understandable. Allow me to simply state the confliction with these two facts: Development for the PS3 is extremely challenging, and therefore costly, but by being disloyal to their fans, they are lacking buyers and thusly, development costs can never be recouped. The fans of our creations, however, should not fret, for we are determined to continue making games, but to which platform they may show up on is another story."

Stay tuned for frequent updates on the Sony confrontation.

Not sure if this is official or not as it was taken from another forum.

i really hope not, i was really looking forward to a sequel to shadow of the colossus which is probably my favourite game of the last generation.

Im not sure how they are having such problems with the dev kits when other places are doing fine with them? ICO aint too unfamiluar with the way sony work either so you would think they would have a upper hand?..

I think its all strange and would defo like to see the source :p

Interesting rumour. Last I heard there was 2 projects in the works that were both going to be shown playable at GDC. Seems to have gone pear shaped if his rumour is true. Shame as I loved SOTC and still have to complete it on the ps2 (on ps3 through bc).

It's only one games developer. They haven't even made a PS3 game yet. :p

I think I read:

"The latest news coming from Japan: Sony's own Computer Entertainment Software team is parting ways with Sony."

and got the wrong end of the stick then.

It dont make sense. Surely no one is stupid enought to come out with this stuff mid way through a development. Its more probable that if they were going to leave sony they would either announce a cancellation of ICO 3 or announce their leaving after ICO 3 comes out.
Where will they go? not the wii not enough power the 360? They are a jap developer full on jap i cant imagine them wanting to go western and the ps3 outsell's the 360 on home turf?

It dont add up for me lol

Name quoted is made up, no such article on Game Informer => trash.
This. Also nothing on a reputable games company sites like gamesindustry.biz or gamasutra.

As if they would ever be that scathing either.

Pure fiction, made by some silly 360 fanboy somewhere.

EDIT: Also lol. A search for Newly hired Sony Director Higaru Tickeru's names in Google produces one result: A single forum post elsewhere. The man doesn't even exist!
