How do you get rid of acne?

You can do but it's probably about 10x more expensive as the stuff from there is about £8 for nearly 250ml where as i bet you are paying something like £4 for about 10 ml (at a guess).

I don't have acne but do get the odd spot and it works a treat, it gets rid of them in a day or so much quicker than letting mother nature do it's work.

It depends on the feed given to the cows. And results in milk which is higher in certain nutrients and vitamins. Especially the precursors to Vitamin A, which is what Accutane (mentioned above) is. :)

I found the Neutrogen cleanser to be best, but Eucerin is definitely the best out there. Ended up skipping the regimen cause BP gave me burns.

It allegedly causes depression, although it's questionable whether it's the accutane or the acne that causes it - especially when it's only given to people with bad cases.

It's £4 for 20g :eek:. I dunno how much volume that is though... probably very low. Having said that, a 20g tube does last ages.
 
I went to my GP and she gave me Oxytetracycline.

Took about 4 weeks to kick in but when it did I was acne free and had amazing skin.

Makes you thank the NHS when they give you 200 pills for £6.50.

I stopped taking it because I was too lazy to get my prescription refilled, it has slowly begun creeping back after the last few months so I need to go back now :(

Edit: I tried Dan Kerns regimen, differing strengths of BP and although they helped a bit with the surface spots they did nothing for the deep ones which are painful and I get a lot of.
 
I've been using something (prescribed) called Fucibet. The problem I had was localised, so he prescribed a cream. But I have to say; it worked/works miraculously. Literally night and day in the space of 4-5 days.
 
imho drinking lots of water and eating healthily will make a huge difference. Excercise never hurts either, I'm not talking lifestyle changes here, just cut out fizzy driinks and stick with water and get in the habit of drinking water often. A good detox will make a big difference too, I don't do anything special, just have a week of cutting out all sweets/crisps/cakes etc and eat lots of fruit and veggies, and drink lots of water!
 
if you have bad acne its best to directly see the doctor. They will try topical stuff, then antibiotics. If that fails they will send you for a consultation at the hospital and then perhaps give you roacutaine.

I did all this and it worked amazingly fast. People winge about dry lips but its hardly the end of the world. I think most people on it use lip salve for that, they also try and convince you it has suggested depression side effects. I think its far more likely that people using it just had really bad acne that was getting them depressed.
 
The only spot stuff which actually works (not including stuff from your doctor) is benzoyl peroxide.

Alternatively, drink more water and clean up your diet.

dry lips?? what gave you that?
 
Wash your face with Nivea for Men or a similar face product (I'm using L'Oréal atm) then dry your face and rub on some Savlon cream.

Works great for me :)

Oh, and not shaving every day helps also.

I used to get mild spots when I had quite a bad diet. But I stopped eating and drinking rubbish all of the time, and now have a semi decent diet. And hey presto, no spots! :)

Also, lots of sunlight helps as well. You could try some omega3 supplements, they will really make your skin look a lot better.

I'd be more inclined to go for the dietary route (if that is in fact the cause) than just trying to hide them with a facial product or something.

Dunno if it has been suggested, but a belt sander - 80 grit. Oh, and make sure you dont catch your lips as that would hurt.
