I currently own a ps3 which i love to play but the lack of titles really annoy me and also the limited choice of online games. started thinking about getting a 360 for those awesome exclusive titles like halo etc. just wonderd whether it would be worth it or just stick to ps3/pc gaming and wait for better titles.

Got one a couple of weeks ago. As an old school pc gamer, I'm relatively impressed, espessially with live, albeit paid all for. But then it could be just the novelty of couch gaming returning!

I wonder how long the novelty will last, but yea, happy so far. Halo3 is actually better than the reviews let on ;)

Useful thing about the 360 is that you can actually play games in 1080 resolution whereas most PS3 games are 720p.

Misinformation for the lose, you can play 360 games upscaled to 1080 but alas many a 360 game is not even 720p native ( Halo 3 ) and many ps3 games will play at 1080i/p in an upscaled manner and a few of the psn tiles are 1080p native which is something arcade titles don't even do.

Who cares about pointless facts like that.

I like the massive games catalogue and how seemless Live is when playing games with mates. Much better than PSN on the PS3

its worth it, i bought one a few days ago and apart from a few frame drops its a great console, i just get worried sometimes that im playing it too long it may come to an early death. still have to send the extended warranty card off.

all in all, Halo 3 is an excellent game, gears of war and many other games. You just have to look at the games and figure out if theirs any games exclusive on the 360 (Halo 3, mass effect, dead rising etc) that will justify the cost. otherwise you could just go all out on a load of PS3 games.

If all is well you certainly won't regret it, I just hope you get yourself a good one.

I have about £500 worth of what can best be described as a hi-tech doorstop along with its accompanying games/accessories, it's not covered because the fault which seems quite common (loss of display output) is not specifically RROD which is all that is covered by the extended warranty.

I will await news of better build quality and longer lifespans before even contemplating investing in a replacement but I've not really missed it in all honestly, I've played most of the big exclusives and got bored of them long since, I'm just a bit peeved about the money I've wasted on it.

The upscaling from 720 to 1080 doesn't seem to even do much, I didn't have my 360 for too long when I got my 1080P set but I didn't notice anything.

360/PS3 games for the most part are 720p and below.

You can't magically make information out of nothing.

Another thing is how cheap Xbox games are.

I paid £20 for orange box brand new. Forza2 can be had for £15. PGR4 is also now £15 from a certain highstreet catalogue shop.

Loads of games for not very much.

Do you HAVE to send off the warranty card to get the extended warranty

dont quote me on this, but I think if you just register your serial number on xbox.com then you're entitled to the extended warranty. Can anyone verify this please?

Is it a waste having a PS3 and a 360? Just depends upon if you can afford it and have enough time to play all the games. If you do and can then what could be better?

any xbox 360, registered or not, has a 3 year warranty for the red lights.

the extended warranty card (that you pay for) will cover you for other, less common, errors in the 3 years, such as DVD drive failure and the like.

ahh thx always wondered that. How do they tell how old the console is? Proof of purchase?
