Things that annoy you about the opposite sex.

Women eat half a chocolate bar and then put the rest in the fridge ???????????

Oh and also spend huge amounts of time looking at and trying on clothes in shops they have no intention of buying. Infact they will spend time picking out clothes just to say "who would buy this??""

????

The only thing that some women do that bothers me is the Diet thing.
Scenario.
Out in the motor i need some fodder, Maccy D's is a good quick stay in the motor option for a fast fill so that's where i head. You want owt i say, No they say, you Sure i say, No they say getting stroppy Am on a diet/watching my weight BS. Ok i says & gets a **** load of crap to eat. As soon as i park they start dipping into my chips  I said Did you want some
They end up eating All the ******** chips, diet My **** :D
For me i would much rather have a Happy eat anything slightly over weight doris than a Paranoid not eating pinch my chips dodgey Doris any day of the week.
Just eat the ******* Mars bar & we'll **** it off later

There is no "opposite sex", just two slightly different ones. Even that's a bit simplified, when you consider intersexes.

There isn't anything that "women do" or "men do", apart from basic physiological processes such as breathing. Anyone who assigns common behaviour to a couple of billion people solely because they have the same type of genitals is making a fool of themself.

There are some tendencies within a specific society (which strongly indicates that they are socialised rather than innate) but that isn't the same thing at all.

Even where people do see different tendencies (and then, for no real reason, talk about those tendencies as absolutes) there isn't that much difference. Consider, for example, the men on these forums who collect watches. How is that significantly different to collecting shoes? Which isn't limited to women anyway - I know men with a couple of dozen pairs of footwear. Or the man I know who has bought about 20 mp3 players - why?

This whole topic is a blivet.

It's your job to tell her your plan, and see if she agrees. While you don't get points for ordering her about (contrary to some opinions expressed here) a certain degree of self-confidence is a must. And that means some degree of taking charge.

I never ask my gf what she wants to do when making plans, It's more fun that way...you'll avoid the above boring conversation where you try force her to make a decision cos you dont want to/are boring and in the end if she wants to do something specific she'll let you know and then you can get her to pay for it (since you're giving in to her!).

That doesn't work very well - the amount of exercise needed to work off food is quite startling.

I bought an exercise bike with calorie use monitoring and all that stuff. After far too much effort, I found out that I had used up about one biscuit's worth of calories. I doubt if you could use up a Mars bar worth of calories with sex.

^^ It's just an expression to try to relate what i mean.
Basically i would rather my women just relaxed about the whole food/diet thing & were happy.

Shut up.

...snip...

If you don't mind me asking, where does said girl live? Manchester? It's just she sounds just like a girl I know. Yes I know thats a fairly common description of girls, but the girl I know is going to a birthday party this weekend. That would be a weird coincidence.

Ok, I'll bite to your philosophical bait.

I think a lot of the assertations here are specific to a particular demographic within society, but within that annoying large part of present Britain, that assertaion holds true.

There are some tendencies within a specific society (which strongly indicates that they are socialised rather than innate) but that isn't the same thing at all.

Why isn't it? The opposite sexes behaviour, whether a sociological invention or an innate one still leads to the same end result. This behaviour is what we're talking about.

Dispite you're wanting to show that there are only biological factors to separate the sexes, these are just as important as the social factors that depict common behaviour. For example, women as a whole are more emotionally charged, and because of that they feel they require an outlet that helps them reflect on their problems. This is a perfect example of why soaps, on general, are watched by more women then men.

However much you want women to be different, they often fall into a sterotypical role more often then they wish to believe.

Now, stop taking this thread so seriously and post something on the lines of how much you hate Hollyoaks but love the casting ;)
