Hostel in edinburgh?

any one recommend a HOSTEL

want somewhere lively and fun, but clean and safe and in the CENTRE of town.

No idea what any of them are like but they are all pretty much in the centre of town, apparently the one on Cockburn Street is alright, i met someone staying there and he seemed to think it was decent.

just after recommendations - found Budget Backpackers which seems good but no bar.

No bar? Is that really a problem, Edinburgh is full of bars.

Have you been to Edinburgh before? Finding pubs and bars will not cause you distress

a bar in a hostel is a great place to meet people, have a couple of cheap drinks, and then head out on the town with the people you've met.

Wasn't planning on staying in the hostel!!
