Stunning. Any particular reason for such a spectacular sunset?

I've noticed that there have been great conditions for sunsets recently, I think it has to do with the complete lack of cloud and the cold temperatures we have at the moment.

I'm surprised though, surely with such a slow shutter speed and a tripod the camera would have got nicked considering the setting.
