Just wondering if any of the m3 owners here run tyre size apart from the std 255/35/19 (obviously im talking about the 19" rims)

ive heard 265/30/19 is ok, is this true?

better rim protectection, supposed to give more grip cornering, wider choice of tyres

It'll be harsher though you happy with that? And less grip in the wet too.

If that's not an issue for you then I don't see why it'd be a problem.

i understand the ride (what with the rubber bands and all) but why less grip in the wet? surely more?

are there any m3 owners here that are running them?

HI there

If your on 19" on you running CSL wheels?

If so then you should be running 265/30/19 on the rear. Unless you go for Goodyear Assymetric in which case you need 275/30/19. :)

nope gibbo its the 19" m3 wheels which were factory fitted with 255/35/19 but it seems a lot of owners when replacing went for 265/30/19 as thats what was fitted to the csl rims and it gives a better choice of tyre aswell!

Stick some PS2's on the car they suit it and work well with the M3. I see zero point in cutting corners to save a few quid for zero real world saving or protection. I could see it on a cheap run around but not on a 175mph GT.

Isn't he actually talking about effectively spending more money? Wider tyre plus lower profile = more money doesn't it?
