Games - Thursday 21st February 2008

Atletico Madrid v Bolton, (agg 0-1), 19:45
Bayern Munich v Aberdeen, (agg 2-2), 17:45, live on Setanta Sports 1
Everton v SK Brann, (agg 2-0), 20:00, live on Five
Panathinaikos v Rangers, (agg 0-0), 17:00, live on BBC2 Scotland
Tottenham v Slavia Prague, (agg 2-1), 19:45, live on ITV4

What do people think? Can Aberdeen or Bolton cause an upset away from home? Will Spurs rest half their team ahead of the Carling Cup final? Does anyone care about the UEFA cup? Will I resist the urge to smash my TV in disgust when David Pleat mispronounces yet another player's name?

Personally, I can see Spurs playing a weakened team. Slavia Prague looked ropey at home and I can't see them offering much fight away from home. I think we're likely to see Bent upfront and probably KPB in midfield. Apparently even Robbo might get a game in goal.

I'd love to see Bolton pull it off :)

Shocking that it isn't on TV

I'm predicting Mal-bronky at the very least :D

Yeah, very weird. You'd think that Athletico Madrid vs. Bolton would be a bigger draw for the neutral than Spurs' or Everton's game, wouldn't you?

I'll be watching the spurs game, hope to god that David Pleat isn't commentating... can't stand him.

He can't even pronounce teams any more, let alone players.

He was saying Olympionargarosh for the CL the other night :-/

What a tool.

Aberdeen were a tad bit unlucky not to beat Bayern last week. Sone Aluko almost single handedly destroyed them. Should be an easy win tonight though for Bayern, at least by a 2 goal margin.
