No cards for me, no presents to be bought, no hassle. Jacket potato, beans and bacon for tea. I shall make a brew in a bit and will watch Ashes to Ashes and the French Connection later.

Hurrah for being single, and not having to pander to the other half just for the sake of, like I have done for 5 years out of the last 7. Wooo! :D

Well, Ive had a great evening so far,

I came home to a candlelight meal of steak onions and mushrooms and pink Champagne.

Followed by some home made chocolate pudding of some sort with crunchy bits on the top, very nice.

I gave her my Tesco Value Card, and she tried to whack me round the head with it, :D Cant understand why as this one differs from last year as i put staples on the fold this time to hold it all together.

I got a pair of carbon fibre cufflinks - http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Ite...params=s+5-p+6-c+288160-r+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+

My wife is great  So I cooked her a nice meal tonight. Well some of it I cooked, the rest I just bought in.

Beluga Caviar, blinis and all the usual accompaniments. A bottle of Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle.

Fillet steak medallions, red wine reduction with shallots, beef stock and dijon mustard. Mashed potatoes with horseradish sauce. Whole steamed carrots with tops. Bottle of 2003 Amarone.

Just about to have cheese course - Gorgonzola, Gruyere and Brie with french baguette.

Service is good and the loos are handy :D Whatever you're doing tonight, enjoy it :)
