Was just about to go to bed, went and spoke to my house mate, who said he had just fallen asleep and remembered that I was in the shower and was wondering why I was jumping up and down.
I slept through it My parents always said I would sleep through an earthquake. Can't have been too bad all my stuff on my shelf is still standing and it's delicately balanced up there.
For those of you who missed it, it can be accurately simulated by wedging a washing machine/tumble dryer between your bed and a book case and switching on a spin program
hmmmm... can't decide if I felt it or not. Thing is I live next to a railway line in Guildford so I'm used to thing shaking. Was in bed at that time but I was still awake I think, and I remember hearing a train go past a bit quicker than usual. I just assumed it was a single carriage cause I wouldn't expect there to be any passenger trains at that time. Could've been quake though.
My bed was shaking and stuff started falling about in me room, I thought it was my imagination or i had a spook, i then turned on the radio and my local station was talking about it. I live in Newcastle city centre, by the way.
