What Car?

Check this out:

Did you really think changing the numbers on the dial would increase the accuracy of your speedo? :D

I thought that changing the dials would give it a look that wasnt standard, hence why i bought silver ecosse ones.

Stop being a tool and jog on :)

Interesting thing here is that Olly has actually driven at 150mph, in legal circumstances, in a BMW 530i Sport - a car designed for and capable of high speed cruising. Therefore he knows exactly how it feels.

Doing the same speed in a 106 GTi would have required even more concentration and even more fighting with the wheel to keep it on the straight. You don't have time for photos.

Clearly i did, or maybe you're too retarded to understand what a speedo does?

I blame your parents to be honest.

Andy

Kent cams actually.

Can't honestly say i've looked at the injectors to see if they are standard, by all means, pay for a mechanic to rip apart my engine and tell you if they are standard or not, if that really pleases you.

Andy

Kent or piper, makes no difference, they have enough knowledge and money to know what works and how to make a cam.

The injectors are on the inlet manifold, no ripping apart of engine required.

Individual throttle bodies should be easy enough to spot, but as you dont know your arse from your elbow you might struggle.

No, you quite clearly indicated that you'd change the dials for ones with 150mph on them and give it another go.

The irony! It'd kill me if it wasn't so amusing :D

No, clearly, i changed them for ones that were silver and were made by ecosse, yes they go upto 150mph, call that a bonus?

I just realised...1.6 Pug GTi...I thought it was a REAL GTi...

Having been in a few 1.9 205GTis that have been modified and maxed out at 140mph(ish, speedo) I doubt a 1.6 106 can beat it with those mods...although I'll gladly be proven wrong.

Like i said, i'm in Kent, anyone is welcome to come down and i'll show them what it can do.

But it seems you all want to sit behind your computers, have a NO SWEARING over Mondeo's and argue with anything that in your eyes are not possibly.

Andy

Awesome, we've even managed to get Mondeos into a thread about 106's.

Arufell, people on this forum own cars which CAN do 150mph. Therefore you can't expect to be able to pull the wool over their eyes and claim yours can manage it, on a private runway, whilst you take a photo with a mobile phone.

I hate Mondeos, and will gladly be proven wrong about my motors knowledge, however this case does amuse me.

I would, but I have uni things to do over here in Bournemouth. :)

If you honestly think you can concentrate on taking a photo on a phone at 150 in a 106 then you've got a deathwish!

As I said before, every time I've done silly speeds (in a car actually designed for it) it's required a hell of a lot of concentration, fiddling with a mobile phone to take a photo would be the last thing on my mind :|
