especially seen as the airbus 380 is designed for long haul flights

Very impressive! I'd like to know how many of the buttons are likely to be used as I'm sure most of the time it'll spend it's life on autopilot...?

Nope, it actually made it fill my screen. If I pressed the maximize button it stayed full size.

My thought - does the engineer have to stow his laptop away during turbulence too?

Also I see only the captain gets a HUD but the 1st officer has to do without.. if the 1st officer takes control I assume that he stays in his sear rather than having to work out the left-right handedness of the joystick...
