Broken My iPhone :(

Hey all,

My iPhone started acting strange last night, flashing screen, random restarts, and now will not turn on

I got it from o2, and its on ann official o2 contract, plus i have insurance for it, what should I do with it? ring them or go in store?

Anyone had a broken iPhone replaced?

I rung my 02 shop about replacements, and their policy is to look at the phone before they'll replace it.

If they find it's faulty, they'll replace it no questions

Even better if it's in warranty (i.e. you haven't unlocked it)

cheers, so i should just take it instore then?

I have dropped it once, and has a little scratch on one of the corners, so that should not be an issue.

What happens if an unlocked phone breaks? Can it still be replaced by Apple?

I was wondering that. Can you not just restore it to the factory settings? Then how would they know it had been unlocked?

I don't think so, unlocking voids the warrenty.

I've read on other forums that restores hide the fact that you've unlocked it...

been into the o2 store, and they told me to go to an apple store, good job there is one near where I work
