Lost a schoolfriend this year from Cancer and the "only 3 months to live etc" can't describe in words what he must have been going through, but my feeling is, that when you get terminally ill, you view death differently, and you probably do more in this time than you did in your last ten years of living...

Hope this isn't true, not seen anything yet on sky/bbc and so forth but some mention here on Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Swayze

I call shenanigans for now, until it's confirmed that is. One thing I don't get is how they can publish that he only has "5 weeks left" and get away with it, the Doctors gave my Granddad 3 months and he lasted another 6 years!

Yes, thats why its called an average.

Some people are unfortunate to die at 50...

Others are lucky to live to 100.

Not everyone makes it to the 'average'.
