got 4 other people on it...so 6 now.. In 2 years thats pretty good considering some of the **** that people do in threads here...imo of course. I'm a pretty harsh ******* yep.

The link got removed; it has been deemed that 'perhaps' it wasn't a scam after all..... It was just another random email I got from match.com that looked like all the others – trying to get personal details, however due to some sensitive and 'soap box' members, I've been soundly chewed out... :(

Oh come on, I know its hard to appreciate why I thought it was a scam, I mean, if you wanted to send a dating message to someone, you'd at least use a spell checker???

Anyhow, no matter what I say now, I'm tarnished as low life..... Still, we all make mistakes... :rolleyes::(

Oh, and I know surfer perhaps can't read this now - get down off your soap box, I bet 'you've' never jumped to a bad conclusion in your whole life..!! :rolleyes: Can't comment in the 'he smells' remark, thankfully never had the displeasure of standing close enough to him to find out... :D

high horse get a grip...i'm amazed how people act nowadays... if i see someone doing something i think is disgusting and abhorrent i'll say so.

What should i chime in like the rest with inane comments taking the mick further about this woman?

If you saw someone being verbally abused in the street would you

a) laugh and join the bully. adding in your own insults
b) tell the bully to lay off
c) ignore it and walk on because its none of your business.

According to how some are behaving here its A every time.

And its not like this woman is anything to any of you. If it was someone you had a grudge against or had a reason for harbouring snide comments against then i can understand the vitriol.

No shes a complete stranger, just trying to meet people.

Having used dating sites (and come out the other side with a wonderful woman), I know how hard it is to aproach people for the first time - and that's from someone whose been using the internet for a dozen years. If people are new to the whole internet thing, spell-checkers and internet etiquette aren't going to be their strongpoint. The fact she mentioned your dog should have told you she was a real person. I got plenty of scam emails and not a single one of them had read my profile, like she did for you.

At the very least, she deserves a polite email in response. I wouldn't link her to this thread though - she came across as a nice person to me and...... I'm not sure why, but this thread might make you look like a jerk.
 
I took the email text out, her profile has been removed from this thread. I'm going to send a polite, and trust me it will be polite and very nicely worded email thanking her for her time taken to read my profile, and to email me.

I thought about making a polite suggestion to 'not' use the caps lock to email members, perhaps but I don't want to condescend her, if this is real, and it seems a majority now believe it to be real, being this shy is going to mean she is bound to be very sensitive...

Gawd, I do get myself into some pickles.. Me and my mouth, friends are always telling me it'll land me in trouble one day.. Think that day is swiftly on its way...!! :(
