I have accidentally removed the spotlight fitting on bathroom light. The problem is that I can not seem to get it back in again.

Is there some trick you need to do with the springs?

I desperately need help.

Thanks

If they are low voltage spots, then they generally have a circular piece of wire that hold them in. But without pics/more info probably no-one can help.

If they're halogen bulbs it'll either melt or burn the chuddy.

They get rather warm.

Hold the fitting by the thumb and index fingers, thumb on the shiny face bit of the light you see when mounted, index fingers on the long springs:

The long spring goes up into the hole parallel to the light, put the entire base in with the spring parallel, just ignore the smaller spring it should try to bite into the gyproc/ceiling, just let it, you will get a little resistance, thats normal, the smaller side of the spring is what does the work.
