CS:S worth buying?

Technically, COD4 does everything CS:S does better. I've got a lot of playtime out of CS:S though. Now that the COD4 honeymoon has worn off, it can be a little tiresome. Which didn't seem to happen so quickly with CS:S. I'm not sure how I got so much playtime out of CS:S, I don't like a lot of the maps, AWP whores drive me crazy, hackers drive me mental and the community is full of jerks. It did keep me coming back for a long time though.

COD4 is still technically the better game, but it is probably worth picking CS up.
 
As a PC owner it's your duty to own CSS and DoD. As good as COD4 is it won't have the lasting appeal or the community that CSS as

CSS is in a class of it's own and there is no other game that plays like it, where's there are lots of War based FPS's. I think re-spawn is another thing that sets CSS apart from other games. because when you die you have to wait till the end of the match so you put far more effort in to staying alive and playing tacticly
 
CS:S is absolute overrated rubbish in my opinion! I've only ever fired up about 10 times and each of those times it was full of cheaters and abusive little kids who don't seem to remember that they were new to the game at one point.

best online game end of

played near enough every major title of over the last 10 years and i still play cs since my first day 7 years ago no other title has a following like it over this time
and has won best online game so many times over the years nothing would touch it!

very very addictive

IMO, no.

Its full of cheaters and clanboys.

Its got the same attitude that i feel is the downfall of TFC and FF.

The elitist clanboy's.

Yeah its worth it find a good community server, and remember office is the greatest map ever!!!

You can get it free with certain HL2 boxes etc, if you don't already have that.
 
well im still undecided, i know its cheap but im sooo low on funds atm, and I have rainbow six vegas 2 pre-ordered, maybe wait for that first?
