Hello there.

To cut a medium length story short, I have a police officer wanting to talk to me (since last Friday)
Anyway, he calls and misses me and I call and miss him and it takes until today (Monday) to speak to him.

Now I tell no lie, I am the biggest goody-two-shoes you're ever likely to meet so I have litterally no idea what this is about.

But he refuses to tell me over the phone but keeps saying its "nothing major" and he just needs to "discuss a matter" and he used the excuse that there's lots of people in the office so he can't discuss anything over the phone.

So anyway, I do a bit of jiggery pokery and move some hours around at work so I can meet him today and get it over and done with, but I get home and he calls saying he can't make it as he's tied up elsewhere (WTF??)

So now I have to wait 2 more days until he's back on duty before I can get to the bottom of this.

I'm going out of my mind here, I JUST WANT TO KNOW !!!

Anyway, the fact that he keeps saying its nothing major and he's quite happy to make it at least a week until meeting me suggests that it IS nothing major and I shouldn't be stressing right ??

He just wants to plant some evidence on you is all, nothing to worry about.

If it really is a copper wanting to talk to you, they should know where you live and probably where you work, I would not go out of my way to speak to one, if it's important, they will find you.

Sounds fishy to me, why not ring the police station and ask to speak to police person 'x' and fi they put you through you know they are a legit copper, if not tell them about this guy ringing you.

Yeah I was clever and contacted him through the South Yorkshire Police switchboard instead of the number he gave.
Certainly legit.

Surely if it was anything I'd done, they would make sure they got me in for questioning as soon as possible instead of just meeting me the next time it was convenient ?!!

Quite frankly if he's being that nonchalant about it I'd phone him up and tell him that if he can't be bothered neither can you!

Maybe they think you might be a witness to a minor crime. It doesn't sound like you're in any trouble.

This is Normal, Coppers are Busy & cannot be held to a rigid timetable like office workers.
If it was important & he had evidence you would be Locked up.
This could be for a number of things, Sounds like your name or your vehicle has popped up somewhere but not from a source they would immedietly act on. I'm sure that once he does speak to you he will cross your name out of his black book. Nowt to worry about mate.

Its just the weird way he first tried to contact me.
I don't want to go into to much detail but he had no idea where I lived or what my telephone number was.
He basically started his search for me near where I lived 2 years ago and tracked me down that way.
Most unusual !!
