lol, busted. but some people .....

get them for paid fair bit for that

what about the person who took the picture on his mobile whilst doing 70mph??

apparently it was his girlfriend, but.... the picture has clearly been taking from the drivers side of the car

Good point... and who would force their girlfriend to sit in the back seat when there is a perfectly good passenger seat up front? If the police notice this then it could turn out to be the greatest backfire in all history :D

Would be very surprised if the passenger managed to take such a high quality photo from her side of the car whilst travelling at 70 mph...

I dont understand why they starred out genitals  is that offensive these days?
And yeah, I can see why they did it, but it's still rather...petty, just for a few quid.

indeed ;)

and some of the comments below the artical draw up a good point. surely the trees should be blury if they are doing 70mph

Did the driver take that picture?

I was going to point that out.

"My girlfriend said "Oh, that's Jeremy Clarkson" and then noticed he was on his mobile," Mr Blake said.

"She grabbed her phone and took a picture of him. We couldn't believe we'd caught him out.

I hope he was driving a left hand drive  Looks very crisp for a phone camera from inside the vehicle too.

Meh, no doubt not much will come of it. the law is the law but I seriously doubt that photo was taken by anyone other than the driver.

I hope it backfires on them to be honest. Ok he shouldn't have been on his mobile but would they have bothered taking a pic if it was not Clarkson and they couldn't make a fast buck?

This is clearly a stationary vehicle. At 70mph even a decent camera would blur the trees along the roadside.

I am not a professional photographer but photos I have seen of moving vehicles have a blurred background, I cannot believe that a mobile phone could possibly take such a static picture. Where is his other hand I can't see it on the steering wheel - this car was not moving methinks.

Well I am a Professional Photographer and because it's a bight sunny day the camera would have metered the scene to use a fast shutter speed, so there wouldn't be a blurred background.
