The Football Association will not take any action against Arsenal captain William Gallas over his confrontation with Manchester United winger Nani.

I still find this hard to believe that Gallas hasn't had any action taken against him for his kicks at Nani? Was it Flamini that went flying two footed at Nani as well?

Nothing gets done about that, but Aliadiere's slap in the face after Mascherano had his hands in his face gets a red... and an extra match ban because the appeal was frivolous!

ridiculous! The FA need some consistency on this, they need a team or a panel of people that monitor all matters for each competition... not a new panel each flipping time.

Totally agree FA is a farce 4 match ban for Jeremie Aliadiere for a slapping someone and a 3 match ban for Martin Taylor for breaking Eduardo's leg.

And then Lampard having his three match ban overturned on appeal yet slap an extra one for Aliadiére when his shouldn't have even been a booking? (If it was - then Mascherano should have been booked too). Totally inconsistent.

I think the latter is a perfectly acceptable ban. It was dangerous yes, but I feel the challenge has been overshadowed somewhat by the injury.

Sure it was horrific, but it was accidental. He didn't run 30 yards and go flying in feet first. Taylor has obviously been left distraught by the whole thing.

3 match ban is fine by me, I think the FA actually got that spot on.

Ref didnt see it IIRC

How on earth would the ref not see it, unless for some unknown reason he choose not to watch the ball. It was a clean tackle and won the ball. Yes if he hadn't, and had made contact with the player it would have been a red. But he made no contact with the player a great tackle.
