Aye, he shouldn't have been drunk to begin with at the age of 15. But something like this, people should be named regardless of age or what mental state they were under at the time.

what we should do is just make it illegal for people under a certain age to buy alcohol, as they clearly don't know what they're doing with it!

That is a horrible story. These pack animals need serious attention from somebody but who??? The police seem to be totally ineffective at preventing crime and parents seems to have little or no interest or effect in controlling them. I'd be interested to see comparisons with other european cities just to see if this is endemic in youngsters europe-wide. I'm 32 and do rememeber the odd death or serious assault being reported as I grew up but this is just crazy.
there parents will probably say something like this "it's that ******* gothics fault that lieing scum my boy would never do anything like that"
a lot of the time there as bad as the kids

I like this plan but I could almost swear I've heard it somewhere before.
There isn't too much to say about the actual story other than it is a tragedy that someone should be killed and another beaten simply for the clothes they wear - assuming of course that is all there was to it.

Exactly what I was thinking mate. For all we know the lovely goth chap gave the drunk a right earful. Still shouldn't of gone as far as it did granted but we'll never know what really went on.

Sad to say it but when i saw the story a while ago i knew that the reason they were assaulted was because of the way they looked.
I'm not saying that it was right what happened to them, but unfortunately being 'different' makes you a target.

well apparently the conversation was friendly, and this must come from *** friends of the 5 who beat them to death, because the victim has no memory of what happened and the other is dead, so we do know quite a bit about what happened.

Only about 10 posts in and penski has already said he isn't a goth, I'd also not take that statement seriously anyway - if you read most of penski's posts as if they were written sarcastically you probably won't go too far wrong.

Couldn't agree more, I've a few friends that are goths - i like the same music as them and go to concerts with them. However i choose to dress normally (which is down to individual opinion)
Who am I to judge an individual on what they wear? The sad state of affairs dictates these youths will be given anonymity and if found guilty their punishment will be severely lax, after all education/rehabilitation is better than punishment isn't it?
