New Car - ST220

I am adamant one of these will be my next car. That's lovely, good price too IMO!

For anyone who knows the answer to this; what are the differences between the pre and post facelift version? Besides the replacement of the ugly stereo ;)

there were 2 main improvements with the facelift version, as you have said they changed the dash and put in new climate/stereo etc, they also changed the flywheel and gearbox to a 6 speed setup which was much more reliable, also stated bhp rose by about 6 or something silly, but most come out of the showroom with about 230 ish apparently.

Will have to get some sound clips up later, just off to wash it...

Can someone explain the fascination?

Don't get me wrong, I drove A mondeo to Yorkshire and back quite happily and yes, its quite nice, but hardly plum-emptying material is it?

Oh of course anything with a 3.0 V6 putting out over 220bhp is boring!

It's a 220bhp Sports Saloon which does 150mph and 0-60 in 6.9 seconds, how can you not understand why some people might enjoy that?

Nice car matey, not what id have got for the money but a nice machine all the same. Should be relatively cheap to run too for what it is :)

I'm guessing 'a mondeo' isn't an ST220?

To be fair it stil looks like a mondeo. :)

Wouldn't that make it nose heavy. Its still FWD too.

S'pose it sounds like fun, I was geniunely asking a question. I didn't think they were "that quick"

they are much quicker than you might think, epic torque and handle surprisingly well
i never used to think much of them until i had a drive in one which completely changed my mind about them
btw car tax for the 2004 model wont rise to £400 thats only for the 2006 > models :D

just digging through the pdfs just now :(
