This is a very grim topic.
In my opinion, its just as likely for men to cheat as it is for women to cheat.
However, It IS easier for women to cheat simply because all they have to do is open their legs and there WILL be a guy willing to jump right in.
Men have to search and work for sex. Plain and simple.

In my experiance, I've known more men that have cheated than women.

I think its much too presumptuous to conclude that women are more likely to cheat than men. Maybe its the type of people you know.
IMO it varies between age, opportunity and upbringing.
For instance, I've done a fair bit of cheating, not proud of it at all because I lost the one girl I really cared about because of it.

But I would definately say I've known more male cheaters than female cheaters, unless I've just been lied to.
Based on my statement above if anything women are stronger because of the fact that they can cheat so easily.
 
the way I see it, you've only got your own experiences to base this 50/90 thing on. I think the following may have happened:

you've had 10 girlfriends, 1 was good. You cheated on 5 of them, including the 1 good one. The other 9 cheated on you.

Seems like you're the one who messed up
 
Some people fall into a relationship just so that they arn't single. When this happens, it's only a matter of time before they meet someone they prefer.

I would say it's easier to judge if a woman is likely to cheat than a man. A man would do it just for sex when the opportunity comes up. If a woman is happy in her relationship, most of them wouldn't cheat. Also a woman would usually want a bit more than just sex.

SiHH had it right tbh, it is always going to depend on the situation, and the original relationship in the first place.
It is also pretty much impossible to do a survey to back up the theory.

Decent and honest people don't cheat. The OP has obviously just encountered too many evil women.

^ Actually maybe an honest person would cheat, but tell you about it straight afterward. :p

To be fair to girls, sometimes they meet guys who are so irresistable they are powerless to prevent themselves from falling into bed with them the moment they meet. Don't be angry at those girls, they were just unlucky :p

Given that the readership here is predominantly male, I can't imagine this thread being terribly productive.

well why cant i use that arguement for some of the girls i meet, it tears me in two keeping my paws off them!
 
I've known a lot more guys who cheat than girls, especially when you're talking about people who do it to multiple partners. I was with a guy who had cheated on every girl he had ever been with (denied cheating on me, but don't they all) and another who admitted to my face that he'd hooked up with three girls in one night while on holiday :eek:.
