I can't think of a franchise EA have ruined in a long time. Actually, let's list some cool EA games that came out recently:

Skate
Crysis
Fifa08
Burnout Paradise
Rock Band
The Orange Box

The list goes on, take your EA hating elsewhere, it's getting quite old.

as already said orange box+crysis are not EA games, EA happened to be the publisher(lets face it, they market etc better than anyone else..)
Valve was its own primary publisher for orange box, but obviously some nuggets still want to buy in store, so they give that publishing area to EA, EA had no control over orange box what so ever, valve is one of the only companies that can stand toe to toe with EA really, its adapted to the industry well.
Fifa wasnt exactly good, it just wasnt as disappointing as Pes08..probably because we're all used to fifas being disappointments already!

Now list all the crap games EA has played a big role in recently, you will find a lot more than the few 'good' ones that are 'EA games' that you listed.. remmeber EA churns crap out week in week out.

Not a single release of GTA has ever been a let down, as the modern games progress i find a lot of games are dissapointing. Rockstar stays true to the cause, the same with the MGS devs. They take time and put real effort into the story, companies like EA have forgotten what a decent game is.

Well I think that GTA London was abit of a letdown, but I thought GTA and GTA 2 was pretty awsome oh the hours I was on those

, GTA SA is my fav but GTA VC and 3 were just as good, see then when they came out graphics over gameplay was not as widespread, but now it is I hope that GTA IV does not turn into this, it does appear its got amazing graphics but I hope it has good gameplay too, cant wait, will have a PS3 by then

People might be tired of EA bashing, but Im sure the same people will be whinging in a few years when all the major franchises have been turned into empty clones of the originals...

Ea used to be a good company, but their mentality of "ship it now, finish it later" has taken its toll on many pc games.

Look at medal of honour airborne for instance, well over a year before its release an ea rep went to a moh fansite and asked people to list what they would like to see in multiplayer, they got tons of feedback. Fast forward 8 months or so later and a number of the fansite owners got invited to EA to try out airborne multiplayer. They just found that all their feedback EA asked for was totally ignored and the pc version was to ship with nothing but a listen server with litle to no customisation options.

There was meant to be a patch available a week or so after launch to add in the proper server options, its of course was delayed and the multiplayer in airborne pretty much died a slow death. Months later and EA are still putting out patches to fix airborne multi but really its far too late for that, the majority of people played the single player through, took a glance at the multi and dumped the game. The last 2 patches they released have totalled over 2 gigs in size.

Hence the terms "ship it now, finish it later", the game was already delayed for over a year because they switched engines to ue3 with the promise of modding tools and better graphics. Then it later turned out that airborne was unmoddable due to the revision of ue3 they used needing a massive code rewrite to let mods be used.

Couldn't plan out a bigger comedy of errors than what happened with the airborne release, all their promises one by one went down the crapper.

what the hell is all your problems, EA are a business, and the SOLE purpose of business is to make money, your all stupid if you think otherwise... :rolleyes:

EA are doing nothing wrong by wanting to expand there already large share of the market, intel have been doing it for years yet i hear no complaining about them, infact most people praise intel :confused:

Most people praise Intel because they're constantly developing their tech and bringing new ideas and concepts to the microprocessor industry.

EA on the other hand just release tired concepts year after year as stagnant, aging franchises. It does nothing for the gaming industry in my opinion.

Lets face it, its cool to hate EA at the moment, they're games of late have been very good. Even FIFA this year was a substantial improvement, far far better than Pro Evo.

but no I think you can deny it, I think in the past they have been very guilty of rubbish licensed games and shoddy sports titles. In the last year or so they've changed their act and I think they're now producing more good titles than bad.

Well Airborne wasn't tooo bad, just very average. 78% average on gamerankings isn't that low.

EA's biggest franchise "Madden" has been bad for years now. NFL 2K5 was far superior and then unluckily the NFL went with an exclusive franchise. Now that 2K sports are back I am reluctant to see EA buy Take Two and bin their sports games. I'd also like to see Take Two broker a deal for R* to be published by Activision Blizzard and see if EA had anymore interest in Take Two.

Im talking more about what they promised to deliver in ariborne, they wanted feedback for plans for the multi and they got a ton of feedback and ignored it, that and the game was launched without even a dedicated server.

They promised to release modding tools for the game and just a while back it was revealed the version of UE3 they used would be unmoddable without a massive code rewrite and the cost would be prohibitaive for them to do it. The last 2 patches they have released have totalled over 2 gigs in size, its blindingly obvious this game was layunched prematurely even with a year plus delay.

I enjoyed the SP but multi is the lifes blood of any game, EA badly screwed the pooch for multi yet again.

battlefields are what turned me sour towards EA, awful really, release 2, get loads of constructive crit, do sweet FA about it, release 2142 with a few upgrades that should have been standard in bf2 ANYWAY but then dont add them to bf2 in a patch forcing everyone over to bf2142, which had worse maps, a whole new gamemode.. which was rubbish and caused lag aswell as having poorly designed titans etc...
i cant think of one decent EA game i have.
