Half life - It just set the standard which every of pc fps will be held up against for me. Sure, since then i have played scarier games, or better looking games, but when the parts of the whole come together, half life sweeps the board.

Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast - Post-Phantom Menace i had almost forgotten what it was about star wars i liked in the first place. I was so jazzed on pod racing and double bladed lightsabers, i had forgotten about pristine white stormtroopers the rebel alliance. This game brought me down to earth with a smile.

Max Payne - Visually stunning and gritty in its unforgiving representation of a man with literally nothing to lose. The first game to make me reflect on a game characters problems as if they where mine.

1. Half Life 2. Still never been as amazed as the first time i shot the first enemy you encounter on the stairs after getting the pistol. Was a bit of a wake-up call with regards to ragdolls and physics. Simply fantastic. Kept me involved the entire way through. Bad point: I now expect every FPS i play to have this level of Ragdoll physics, and am frequently disapointed!

2. F-22 Lightning 3. Oldie but something i always used to play at my Uncles. And was always excited to boot up everytime.

3. Probabaly COD4 or Crysis. I still don't like how short COD4 was and i still don't like how Crysis runs, or that there just seems 0 involvement when you shoot an enemy (Unlike HL2 where you practically feel yourself shooting the shotgun when you see someone go flying) but there were fantastic merits to both games. If i had to push though, COD4, purely for getting me back into online gaming, whilst still remaining pretty with good weapons. Atmosphere in the Single Player campaign is just excellent too.

Final fantasy 7 - yes it is on pc so it counts :p

Counter strike source - its taken up many years of my life so it has to be good

delta force: landwarrior/black hawk down - again took up a lot of my time, really enjoyed them

ROFL.

Saying Crysis has no feedback then saying HL2 is good. That was by far the worst thing about HL2, All the guns felt pathetic, the shotgun was good in comparison to everything else, but really lacked punch compared to shotguns in lost of other games. I'm not saying Crysis was immense at this, but certainly not worse than HL2.

As to my 3 games, in no order:

Crysis :p
Runs well on my setup considering the settings I run it on, looks amazing. So many different approaches to set pieces in the game. Plus multiplayer can be a bit of a laugh aswell if you can find a decent server.

COD4.
Amazingly well done single player, easily some of the best missions out of any game are in this game. Quite linear but makes up for it.
Multiplayer is amazing, have played more COD4 online than any other fps for years, only other online fps I have played as much/more would be UT2004.

Stalker.
Looked fantastic at the time (although now outclassed by Crysis - what isn't though) Awesome atmosphere, so nice to have something not set in the western world. Loved upgrading my weapons through parts I found plus once again loads of different ways to go about missions.

Honorable mentions would be UT (the series in general) Supreme Commander and Hitman Blood Money.
