1. Transport Tycoon / TTDX
First played this on a 486DX33mhz on DOS 6.22 and i am still playing it now!

2. Doom
First multi player game using a serial cable, games started out as co-ops but quickly changed to death matches after a few misplaced shots.

3. Starcraft
I normally hate RTS but this game is joy, perfectly balanced teams and numerous strategy's. So much better than C&C etc.

Honorable mentions:
BF1942: Excellent game, redefined multiplayer fps imho

Full Throttle: Not a fan of point and click games but this drew me in from start to finish

Little Big Adventure: An excellent game with amazing cartoon esq graphics for its day (hi-res SVGA on a crummy 486). Never completed it though :(

1. MoHAA. Best MP experience ever for me.
2. Ultima Online 99-01 period only. Would kill to have the game reset to that period.
3. Soldiers: Heroes of WW2. I just chuffing love that little game.

1. Battlefield2 Vanilla infantry Only.
2. Richard Burns Rally + RFactor & Mods. (Joint Best Drivers)
3. COD Original.

Oh yes forgot about little big adventure. I completed the first and second one. They were brilliant. I was recently looking to buy them off the bay in original packaging.

Almost impossible but the series/games that I have played for the longest period of time:

Series:

Ultima Series (Including UO)
Championship Manager Series
Gold Box Forgotten Realms (Pools of Radiance etc)

Individual games:

Everquest
Warcraft 2
Doom

Could I add a fourth game too... Total Annihilation :)

And a special mention goes to the super shotgun in Doom2 and the railgun in Quake.

No.1 Has to be from the Start of my PC gaming career
& I'm gonna put up my top 5 as It has to be done

1. The Secret of Monkey Island TM

2. SYSTEM SHOCK 2

3. X-WING

4. The Nomad Soul

5. UNREAL (not UT I mean the original Unreal T'was and still is so much better)

defining games for me

Wing Commander
Elite
Xwing (notice a theme here?)
Battlefield 1942 - genre defining fps, and what got me into online gaming
Half Life 1 and 2

Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance - flawed but utter RTS genius is you're prepared to put the time and effort into it.

Diablo II - Still the most fun I've had in a RPG

Battlefield 1942 - Best FPS game ever made imo.

erm... im finding this really difficult to choose... all i can say to you is that i know it isnt any new games that have been released.

Now in no particular order:

1. Monkey Island 3
2. Half Life 1 and expansions inc. the first counter strike
3. Delta Force 1

I agree new games like Far Cry and Crysis an HL2 are good but i just get bored and .. and walk away from them.

Im currently playing WOW again... lol

but i have to say one game that may make my list is STALKER... i stopped playing it like 2 weeks after it was released as it was awful and when i patched the game it corrupted my save files :(

But now with 1.0005 -------- OMFG!!! Classic in the making

Agree on the stalker one. When I first got it I thought it had potential put just couldn't play it. Then just the other month I dedicated 20 hours to it. Got a rubbish ending and didn't have a good save game to restart from. So uninstalled it again. But it is now a great game.
