Decorating Ideas :P

Ok, I've just bought the paint for my room.. gone for two shades of blue.. a darker one and a lighter one..

Now, my room is about 4m x 4.5m and Im wondering how to paint it..

My ideas were to have:

-------------------

1 Corner light blue
1 Corner dark blue

---------------------

Opposite walls different colours

---------------------

All one colour

--------------------

It's annoying me as I dont know whether a corner each colour would look stupid lol..

How would you paint it? Random question but yeah..

Paint it in thick stripes!

Light blue, dark blue, light blue, dark blue , etc

I'd have 2 walls a dark blue and 2 walls light blue - opposite each other.

Either 2 dark, 2 light, or just 1 dark wall and the rest light. I'd go for the latter.

I would go for 3 walls lightblue and 1 wall dark. As a 'feature wall' as my mum calls it. That how most rooms are in our house, looks quite good.

Paint it the light colour

Then splatter dark paint on the walls

Paint it either opposites (so 2 light and 2 dark) or one wall dark and the rest light blue (I would say more light blue to make the room seem brighter and bigger).

I painted my room the second way, though one wall was painted brilliant white and the rest a minty/apple green with white woodwork.

3walls light light, then the wall opposite your window (hopefully the 4m wall) the darker blue.

this should make your room look more square.
