Half life 2 is by far the best game I have ever played.... Playing it for the third time now at 1920x1200..

The gameplay and environments are so immersive. To me it makes COD4 and crysis look poop. Why do they stress systems so much for hardly and graphical gains over a three year old game?

Let's hope they bring out HL3!

As much as I love the parts of HL2 i've played, for some reason it makes me feel really sick. I don't get this with anything else apart from HL2, so I haven't been able to complete it.
 
Are you playing it with the Cinematic Mod?

The darker atmosphere, crescendo music and fantastic textures make it a much better game, imo.. I must have played through it about 7 or 8 times now.. definately the best fps I've played, with bioshock a close second :)
 
Yeah I was ill from HL2 as well. I guess you suffer from Motion Sickness? (I do getting on busses, etc. is horrendous).

With the latest patches it's not too bad - I did have to turn off the bob thing though.

Ahh man, Goldeneye, the sole reason i bought my N64. 4-player tournaments and the one and only time i'll paly an FPS on console.

Deus Ex, best storyline and immersive game i have ever played in my life. I got to the Area-52 level i think which is one of last levels and my PC messed up and i lose the saves. Using level cheats meant i lost all my items and passes.

Half-life 2 was good, but towards the end it dulled for me a bit, have yet to try the episodes, the name puts me off, like a small mini-games, calling them expansions would be better for me.

Do a google search. :D May sound crazy but I did and found a few fixes. I was same after around an Hour id have to come off cause I felt ill.

half life was horribly overrated it was linier the story seemed lacking yes it had good graphics and a fun physic engine but it wasn't THE BEST ACTION GAME OF ALL TIME it was branded.

also what was with episode 1+2 they were so short and episode 1 served basically no purpose except getting gorden and alex out of the city

im not saying it was a bad game i quite like it but it was massively over hyped and the follow ons were to short and just seemed excuses for sucking more money out of the franchise
