I hate people that do this. they buy a car and modify it. Fair enough

but when it comes to time to sell, the take the book price of the car and then add on the purchase price of all the mods and expect to get everything back because "its a show car". Book price for that car is 12k. He's charging 15k and what do you get extra ? miltek exhaust (£500), bluefin remap (£500), pipercross induction kit and lowering springs (another 1k new?). He's changed the interior lights for some cheap 50p blue LEDs from ebay (well documented on how to do it on fordmondeo.org) and splashed some red paint on the brake calipers ?

The £3000 worth of ice isnt included either. So where does the extra 3k go ? even the sum of the mods new doesnt come up to 15k. Only other thing it boasts is the ford direct warranty, which i can get myself if i buy a 2006 one from Ford Direct 2nd hand too.

way way overpriced and a case of somebody letting the attention it gets at cruises go to his head.
 
Some people on here are so serious, just look at it, as far as budget cars go, it's absolutely gorgeous. If I actually had 15k or 10k, it wouldn't go on a Mondeo :p
 
It's a bit more *cool* at least, not the coolest looking car of course but a bit better to look at. Especially with certain modifications :p
 
Spotted this the other day on PH and thought it looked a good example.

I remember it as I have never seen those Ford alloys before or since.

Not sure mate, I doubt it. Had my car been standard I may of gone for it but I've spent time sourcing parts for mine and have just recieved some lowering springs. So it would seem a hassle to remove everything and sell them :o

EDIT : In other words...I need more convincing ;)

dont make me get out the sound clips of my car to convince you ;) It's a no brainer tbh, MUCH better drive.

You can't say a 1.6 focus is cooler than a 2.5l v6 mondeo, purely for the fact you can say "yea it's a 2.5l v6 mate" rather than "it's a 1.6 :("
 
What sort of MPG do you get Tom. I'd really hate regretting buying this to find it's leeching the hell out my wallet :p
 
They sound awesome and are nice enough to drive, my dad used to have one and no complaints at all. It won't have xenons on a 51 plate by the way, no projectors either so unless its had HID bulbs chucked in halogen clusters (bad idea) then they'll just be normal headlights.

Used to get 25-30mpg.
 
I'm not so sure about the green myself after a bit of consideration. Been speaking to the guy and might manage to have got him to put 500 and his car for mine. I'm still not sure, I'd hate to regret getting rid for whatever reason :/
 
Well, there's much worse colours out there. I'd put up with it, considering as I sit inside the thing, so exterior colour isn't much of an issue :D

Your shout though mate. No point having the car if you're really not happy with its appearance.
