I thought that one was really hard. I could never get past the first car as I was always one corner too late on passing (right on the tip of his bumper) causing me to run out of time as we crossed the finish.
 
Yea that one is really hard, I managed 2nd place in my ITR on it after allot of tries. Really have to pass 3-4 cars by the 2nd corner or you get stuck behind them in the twisties and the leader flies off ahead.
 
got this on day of release and loving it so far. Just go tall gold on Class C, which was easy apart from the time trial challenge in the cappuchino! well hard, took me about 30 tries to get under the gold time. In the end i had to wait for the copen to pass me on the track and then use its slipstream to make up the last second or so that i needed.

The online racing is awkward, You could be the fastest driver in the race by a mile, but im thinking theres some sort of auto-catchup in these races, either that or you get a stupid amount of extra speed from slipstreaming. Kinda annoying when everyone is crashing around you yet they still seem to keep up.
 
Im currently stuck on the cappachino one breaking the lap record - can only get Bronze (about a second away from Silver) all the other cars seem so much faster you dont even get much of a tow from sitting behind them

Also that Honda one in class C - I cant get any better than 2nd within about 0.9s of the winner, but no matter how I do it I cant get there within the 1 lap

Ive cleared the section but would love to win both of the above, I just dont see how at the moment ( you cant upgrade any of the motors in 5P like you could in the previous ones could you?)

One thing that REALLY annoyed me - I installed 5P this morning and it asked me to upgrade from System software 1.10 to 1.16 which is fair enough, so I went and downloaded the update and installed it - then I installed 5P and played a few games before loggining into online and it asked me to upgrade system software again grrrrrr why didnt it just download the most upto date to start with rather than upgrade to a middle ground

Otherwise I think 5P looks stunning and reacts pretty well AI wise
 
Momo force works fine - the only downside is that the centre buttons aren't assignable. I get full force feedback effects and it drives spot on.

Managed the C class Integra one through driving really aggressively.

Cappacino one is doing my nut, missed Gold by 0.089 of a second!

Second Integra event is just daft, stuck with a bronze on that so far, same for the Evo on the Eiger. Crazy hard!
 
I'm really suffering in A class and the manufacturer races. It seems i'm just not good enough to win without the ease of having a faster car. Tried the Golf GTI race and only managed to move up 3 places in 2 laps.

Need to save up for a better car for the A class races - the nissan GT-R isn't quite fast enough to get gold in the events for me. Not sure what i'll do about the manufacturer races/races where you are restricted to a particular car... guess i need to pactice.

There is quite a lot of boost for slower cars which is annoying on the straight of the high speed ring if you are in first. The first corner you have to brake for on that track is pretty bad as well as it appears the quickest way round is to just smash into the barrier. Don't think I've had a clean race yet on that track :( Still won a shed load though.
 
Anyone playing this on a Dell 2408? when i go through tunnels/in the shade the pic goes grainy on the dark area yet when i'm in the light it looks perfect.

Not the best idea in the world, but what i did was go back to B Class Race 1 and grind.

I raced there around 15 times in the BMW Concept (that you win for completeing B Class) and got enough to buy me a Ford GT. Dont buy that car though, it's too hard to drive. :p

PS3 software

been away for two weeks and I think it was roughly upto date when I went away (I think it said 2.10 this morning before any update

I have definitely had to do TWO updates today - one to even install GT5P (which requires PS3 software version 2.16 I believe) and one to actually log into online (2.20 maybe?)

Its just crazy that when I went to install GT5P this am, it didnt just download and install the latest version, but it definitely didnt only the one required by the software.

Just now its even told me this upgrade (just prior to install rather than d/l) to 2.20 will wipe all replays and saved data but wont wipe any winnings - not sure how it can differentiate as the winnings surely have to be in the "saved data" but this is definitely what I experienced in the last few hours.
 
What cars would people recommend for C Class? I've mainly used the Integra Type R, is there anything better?
 
Going to get this game tomorrow after work, cant wait to have a shot at it.

What car is everyone using from the start...

On the Japanese version, I had the Golf, I doubt it was the best of car choices :p
 
Honda Accord for first car.

I'm disapointed that you can't change the cars (new parts etc)
