What is so bad about a corsa? Seriously, I dont get why there is so much dislike towards it? Sure its not the best drivers car, but its a supermini, its not designed to be!! Until you can afford higher insurance and running costs its a very good little car.....but no, obviously the OP could have bought a mondeo or something similarly dissimilar

Erm no, you seem to miss the point in an attempt to start an argument, why would you buy a lesser supermini when you can get better in the class for no extra cost?

It doesn't look very nice, it isn't particularly enjoyable to drive, they don't wear very well, there are better choices out there in the same class.
Nobody said he should have bought a Mondeo. The guy asked what people thought, people are telling him. Simple as that.

I think the fact is that there are better supermini's to be had than a corsa.

I think they do. It's really the sole redeeming feature which is what makes them so popular.
dont want a mondeo becuase they are too "fat" i.e very heavy, i got this becuase it is a relativly cheap insurance group for what it is, i learned to drive in a corsa and i find them nice to drive plus it only has 30K on the clock and i got it for 1K below the book price

Lopez, if they dont wear well, how come a mates Y reg is perfectly fine given its 8 years old? As for looks, they look as good as any other supermini does, and the 1.4 is a nippy engine.

Thats rubbish. When I posted my first car on here a couple of years ago it got nothing but praise.
It was a ford focus... How much more 'normal' can you get?
Better is subjective with so many priorities. I'd like to know what made Breezy choose a Corsa, was it looks, price, insurance, finance etc?

Because its a ford - for some reason fords are seen as amazing on here. I know they're good cars, but they arent that much better than the rest, not enough to warrant "god" status.
Tom, name a 1.4 thats faster? Its a 1.4 for gods sake! I dont expect everyone to agree, but so far the reasons given for disliking it are pretty poor. Nobody's named a car thats better in the same class/price
Likewise. It's a Corsa, he walked into the Lions den and should have expected it posting that. If only he'd come on here to ask for opinions on what to get.

The Clio is far better to drive and offers a better specification.
Whilst both arn't amazingly built Vauxhall managed to build the corsa's dash out of cheaper plastics than the french did.
And then we have the Fiesta which is class leading.

Are you serious? I have a clio, the corsa is better to drive! The only reason I didnt get one is because they're more expensive!
