My new car

How much did you pay and how many miles she got on the clock?
Wish I had one of them way back when I was 18, atm cant see any problems with it, leave it as it is though, please dont "mod" it!!

Peugeot 106 GTi, Focus 2.0 Zetec (lower group for some reason), Fiesta Zetec-S etc. I think the Focus would be the number one choice though, 3 door Focus Zetec ESP with a decent 2 litre engine and Group 8 insurance.

And no, not a Mondeo, becuase its fairly obvious that your average Corsa SRI sympathiser probably isn't the sort who'd want a Mondeo.
Just did a quick search for 2.0 Zetec's on Pistonheads and all but 1 were chavved up. :p

Didn't realise they were popular amoung young drivers.

it has 30K on the clock paid £4K and its staying like it is maybe ill ditch the wingmirrors if i can get hold of some originals

I like how this has turned into a "lets all argue with each other and be as sarcastic as we possibly can thread" :)

I think it's alright. Better than the 1.0 Yaris my m8 just got for over 4k... now that is crap for the money he payed :D

Fair do's, seriously ignore all the "vauxhall, its ****" posts, maybe their just upset course they had to use their mums car @ your age. Though 4K could have bought you a lot of other cars, but as long as your happy ;)

Loowi - Perhaps we are saying because the car is actually as bad as we are making out. Perhaps some of us have driven them and know them to be awful, and PERHAPS we all had out own cars at that age.

Oh and perhaps we know how to not swear.

What are you talking about?

Renault Clio Sport comes in 172 or 182 form then you have the Clio Cup in either of those two powers.

The car i'm talking about is clearly the 2001 - 2005 clio, not the new one since that would be out of the price range.

Model range is as follows :

Rush / Campus / Authentique / Campus Sport / Extreme 4 / Expression / Expression + / Dynamique / Extreme / Extreme 2 / Extreme 3 / Privilege / Dynamique + / Initiale.

When talking about a clio 172 / 182 i've always called it and always heard it called a Clio Sport, never a sport clio, whilst renault did release a model with the 182 bodykit on it i don't think it was called a sport.

So just to satisfy yourself i'm talking about the 172 Clio Sport... Happy?

A clio sport is NOT the same as a renault sport clio.......the 172 and 182 are renault sport clios. The clio sport doesnt have a 182 bodykit, its a "sportier" trim level for the older style clio if you must know......

Bit OT this however :p

Or maybe, and I honestly cant believe some of you still can't grasp this, we are just ANSWERNIG THE OP'S ORIGINAL QUESTION?

Its amazing how brave people can be when hiding in front of a computer.

I would bet a fair amount of money that if asked the same question face to face "what do you think to my new car" they would say "yeah mate quite nice indeed" regardless of whether it was true or not.

Driving your BMW (the car of your choice) is all good, but is his 04-reg corsa any worse than your old Xantia? I think not!

I'd tell someone how I felt to their face, infact I do. But then no-one I care about would be stupid enough to blow £4k on a corsa of any description.

Secondly, the xantia is an unfair comparison, as its a decade older. Compare it for example to a similar car of today for £4k and the corsa suddenly looks even worse.

bet that 4k corsa will be worth more like 2k next year i have seen a 5th gear handling vid they are truley terrible in bends i bet my mundeo would out corner it

Yes but he doesnt own the Xantia anymore, perhaps nearly a "decade" ago, I was compairing the age range at the time and what car he owned.

Quite right I wouldnt blow £4K on a corsa, hense my previous comment
