The first season really has flown by, it's been pretty much game after game almost non stop. I don't bother with any of the highlights or the match engine, so that obviously helps. I find I get all the info I need using commentry only with split view - left panel my players ratings, right panel match stats.

Within 1 season does sound incredibly early for the game to have cracked your tactic already. How are you doing overall?

nah I played the 1st season and my tactics worked a treat, managed to grab a suprising 5th place IIRC, board decided to invest a decent amount and I tried to clean the deadwood out, unfortunately I had to sell Owen (1st season scored 30+ and Chelski offered £22 m, couldn't turn that down, and Oba Martins for £20, so I'm short on quality strikers

I'm halfway through my 2nd season now in roughly 6th place, and struggling now, will post team and stuff later
 
You could probably get Saha, he despite the fact I was gonna sell him, when I needed cover he always banged goals in.
In Spain I got Aguero, he's a freak.

Given is one of the best keepers for me, I think he got Keeper of the Year at the end of the season!

I got Bosingwa at RB for about £6m and Rafinha for around £9m and both did me the world of good on counter-attacks, especially as Rafinha can play RW, so those are potential, superior replacements to what you have.
Try and get Pique off Man Utd, he's ridiculous, I started playing him instead of Vidic.
I've not had a chance to go scouring as I didn't get much money in charge of Man Utd, but if I find anything I'll let you know. I think we'll keep this thread for anything FM2008 Xbox360 related such as players, tactics etc..

I've noticed a lot of the players aren't as good as in the PC version looking at players they're recommending on forums.

pique is at juve I think, I'm looking at him, Lucas (the DF 21 year old ) he's at Liverpool, who are really struggling in the league, about 10th, hoping to poach a few players

Giles Barnes has caught my eye but I've got Denilson to train up, plus derby want a lot of cash for him

On the subject of Given, I have a bad history with Given on FM games, he left on a free to arsenal on my last big game on 06 as I was just learning the game, and in this one Harper is playing beyond himself, then Tim Krul (newcastle reserve) usually turns amazing, check him out
 
Lucas looks good on it, I was gonna buy him (or attempt to) in my second season. Shame about missing out on Pique. I've not looked at our reserves. Infact, I sold a load of them :p.

Exactly what I opted to buy in my first season. From Botafogo I bought Eduardo - 19, DLC, WB L, DM, AM LC £2.7m. And from LOSC (never heard of them either) I bought Guilherme - 19, AM, FC £12.75m.

Both were relatively cheap, already very good and potentially world class. They could be nobody's on the pc version, but they're worth a look at least.
 
now the january transfer window, let rozenhal going as he was just rotting in the reserves

Still after attacking additions, but no-one wants to leave mid season

Dos santos from barca is out of contract, offering him a contract but he is still "considering his options"

this is my team so far, finally stopped my 6 game without a win stretch to beat tranmere 8-0 in the FA cup, with crouch getting 5, then norwich 4-1 in the league

4th in the league with champions league spot looking like the highest I can hope for this season, but I'll be lucky

What I've found quite interesting is that in my season with Barcelona I have around 5 different tactics and I rotate them after each game, never using the same tactic more than one in a row, but cycling through all 5 at random and I've gone 51 games unbeaten and it mentions how I'm a 'tinkerman' after every game.

plus I feel more part of a community here, would rather discuss games here than the sometimes harsh enviroment of the PC lot

You need to get the damn xbox plugged back into live, seriously it's about 18 months since I last pounded you at any thing online :p

If thats what happens when you have kids I dont want any ;)

Anyway nokkon can tell you if you need this game :D
