Your most moving song?

hm for me has to be either Mogwai - Sine Wave, or Godspeed you Black Emporer - The Dead Flag Blues (16minute epicness!).

Forgot to mention -

Late In The Day - Supergrass

Harry Nilsson - Without You (Maria Carey needs to die horribly for murdering this song)

Billy Joel - She's Always A Woman

Genesis - Throwing It All Away

There are songs that just make you shiver and well up and you can't really explain it. I have some sad and some other songs just make me happy- I am a wuss lol.

Lifehouse - you and me, no idea why.
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris, possibly as it was one of my cousins fav songs.
Lonestar - Amazed as above.
Barber's "Adagio for Strings" Original - as it been used at one two many funerals I have attended.

on a more positive moving note.

REM - Shiney Happy People
Weezer - island in the sun
Sting - Englishman In New York

Metallica - Fade to Black

Guns and Roses - November Rain

Limp Bizkit - Rearranged

The 3:20 bit still sends shivers up my spine even if I did listen to this mainly when I was at secondary school.

Freddie King - Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

Led Zeppelin - Since i've been loving you

Theres some cheese in there, but sometimes its more about what you were going through at the time you were listening to it, and thus the memories it stirs up, than the actual song itself.

Simon Webbe - no worries and lay your hands on me

for personal reasons more than anything though, those songs got me through a lot of ****.

since i seen daft punk live the intro to aerodynamic really gets me going just because of the awesome memorys! la ritournelle though owoooo

I'll be missing you, the admittedly fairly poor take on Every Step You Take by Puff Daddy and Faith Evans. It's not music I love, but it's got a personal meaning and al that jazz.

Cash's cover of hurt combined with the video is stunning, practically shed a tear the first time I watched that.

A Perfect Circle/Tapeworm's Passive is a biggun for me too.

Been thinking about this, had a few more come to mind:

Show Must Go On - Queen - Wiki entry

Two bits in particular get me all emotional, especially considering he was too ill to make the video and was dying when the song was released. :(

Inside my heart is breaking
My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on.

and

guess Im learning, I must be warmer now
Ill soon be turning, round the corner now
Outside the dawn is breaking
But inside in the dark Im aching to be free

*snivels*

Another couple I thought of:

Moby - Why does my heart feel so bad, and
Coldplay - Fix You.

I was diagnosed with terminal cancer and it seemed to strike a nerve with me and the missus :)

:( If this is too personal kindly ignore this but may we enquire as to how you are?? my email is in trust if you do not wish to respond online - an email and status update would be most appreciated! :)
