That's what I think, there can be aero damage to the bottom. But I doubt it from that incident.

Someone's given Lewis a kick up the rear. Just done a green lap, low 1.35

Where's Kovalainen in all this? This is the sort of situation where he should be pulling his finger out and proving he's not purely Lewis's rear gunner.

He's only doing mid 1.35's as well - the McLarens just don't look hooked up here.

No head scratching required by mclaren, whats hurting them is Alonso's experience at setting up the car, simple. I hate to say it but that is their problem, lack of experience.
