Dark Sector

Dark sector is like devil may cry meets gears of war. It is a LONG way from perfect, but its a lot of fun and if you can resist using google to beat the bosses the challenges are very old school and will leave you scratching your head for a bit. Like everyone else has said, pretty game, very gory, some very cool gameplay (at one point i glided my glaive through the neck of one guy and took the arm of another while simoultaneously shooting him in the head and then activating my sheild and deflecting a grenade at another aproaching soldier, its the sort of thing where you hit pause and go WOW! I'm awesome!)

Its worth a pop, but i hear the online is badly broken so maybe just a weeks rental.

theres a locked fence with a button on the far side, fire your glaive at the top of the fence, go into that slo mo mode (tap LB again) and guide the glaive over the fence to hit the button. It would have been more satisfying to have figured it out yourself though eh? I was well chuffed when i did it

Games just shouldnt leave you high and dry like this, i dont know whether im supposed to find another charge to set, or i assume blow something up with rocket launchers, but nothing is destructable.

just keep going set charges all will become clear, then the game really starts

yup theres more than 1, but you can hardly miss em, its the black and white first chapter isnt it? the game only really gets going after that, bear with it, as you get the glave, and the infection takes more of a hold on you, and ups the glaves abilities, it becomes quite good.
 
Still playing this game through, got up to chapter 7 i think and its actually not too bad tbh...still isnt a patch on Darkness but its pretty good tbh.

As for the charges, as far as i remember you dont actually set them off...they set themselves off at the end of the level i think...cant be 110% sure though.

Just trying to finish it off so i can give Condemned 2 my complete attention.
 
just finished this and thought it was pretty good. Sure it doesnt break any new ground but its a good mix of what was fun in games that already exist... its basically gears of war with a glaive that controls like the arrows in heavenly sword.

short and sweet, worth picking up if you can find it for cheap :)
 
Thread revival time!

Got this not too long ago for about £6 and played this through at the weekend. First time I think I have ever finiched a game in one weekend - well, apart from the final boss, as it was getting alte and I knew if I tried to fight him then I would get agitated and not sleep.

Anyway, had pretty low expecations, but it was actually quite fun! Definitely worth the price its going for these days. So if you haven't played it yet, then go and get it :)
