School options!

Definitely. I'm straight A/A* in subjects I chose and those that are core. RS, Citizenship, Spanish GCSE, French AS, however, I am looking at C, B, B, D/C in. It isn't going to look as good on my CV and the like in future :/
Once you get A-levels that is what people will look at. And if you go on to get a degree that will be the focus of attention. I got a load of As at GCSE but once I get my degree that and perhaps my A-level grades will be the focus of attention.

I can only speak for myself, but my GCSEs were not 'outstanding' and that did not hinder myself getting into a Russell Group university.

Interesting and coincidental topic by Huddy who's advice helped me to secure a job last week.
Part of my new job will be to go into schools, liaise with teachers/careers officers and pick kids that want a career in the NHS.
There are over 360 jobs in the NHS and the Apprentices will be guided all the way through school + college.
Every thursday they will go on placements where I will visit them to see how they're going on.
If needed they will go to University where a lot of degrees will be paid for by the NHS.

Sounds like a cool job dm. Need an assistant? :p

Surely she gets a choice of sciences or social subjects within that? When I was at school only English and Maths were compulsory, then we had to pick a social subject, language, science and 3 random subjects from other columns.
