Hi,

One is with Easyjet to and from Gatwick.

The Other with BA to Gawick and returning from Heathrow.

Anyone got anything to say on this to help me decide?

Thanks

Find out if you'll be using T5 at Heathrow. If yes, AVOID!!!

Theyre both pants :)

But given a choice... BA.

BA all the way. If it goes wrong with Easy Jet you're on your own. BA generally at least try to help. Mind you, I hate Easy Jet with a passion, only surpassed by Ryan Air.

Thanks. Price isn't an issue as they are both very similar unfortunately which is why I needed the advice.

Both airports very easy to get to and I believe it's terminal 2.

Thanks and could a kind mod now close this as I've booked with BA.

To all those fast with their replies:

Thanks and have an e-cheezburger :)

I should point out this comment was tongue in cheek. I actually have a couple of friends who used T5 last week and they said they were very impressed.

Why does easyjet often get a lot of stick for being awful? Recently flew with easyjet and didnt have any problems and the taking off/landing were smooth. Staff were polite etc O_o

If everything goes smoothly, Easyjet are fine. Its when things go wrong that budget airlines fall down. As someone who has lost luggage with Easyjet before, trust me its a nightmare.

In my experience Easy Jet are fine when everything is running smoothly. As soon as things start to go wrong (Delays, cancellations, lost baggage etc) they go to rat poo. BA is by no means perfect, but I have found their attitude and response considerably better.

You'll (probabaly) get free food with BA - got free snack dinner and a very nice lunch with BA Manch > Heathrow.

Easyjet fine, they use A319's so its very quiet :)

Never had a prob with both. Lost my camera onboard an easyjet flight and managed to get it back!

I've never been delayed in 10 years with Ryanair, nor had any bags lost. Fly with them over 10 times per year and more than 20 times a year from 95-98.

Their bad rep is totally uncalled for.

Flown 3 times with BA had bags delayed twice and spent 10 hours at heathrow due to bad weather. I asked in Glasgow if there were delays in Heathrow before departing (connection to Brussels) Should actually be called Engish Airlines as they don't have a hub anywhere else. BA stated no problems at heathrow at all (got to heathrow and the woman laughed when I told her saying there had been cancellations all morning) had to wait 50 mins for a 5 quid voucher and rebooking so BA ain't all perfect.

That said the one flight from Brussels to London on BA was class but that was in '02 doubt the give you free food these days.

Free food with BA? Flew LHR to Italy and their free food was a sandwich and a 10p breakaway bar both ways, cabin was cramped. Had much better flights with easyjet.

I think easyjet get the unfair image due to what is portrayed on programmes such as 'airline' ... naturally they choose the customers complaints who are by far the greatest of those who complain, because naturally it makes 'good tv' ...

I've never had any problems with Easyjet. Every flight bar one has been on time, the staff are friendly and polite and the baggage has always been at the same airport I was. I missed my flight once (entirely my own fault) and, although they didn't have a suitable flight for me, they checked the other airlines and found me a flight with BA. They told me to explain what had happened and show my Easyjet boarding card and I would get a discount with BA, which I did - they could just as easily have sad "Tough mate".

BA, on the other hand, are a bunch of overcharging incompetents imo. They charge nearly 3 times as much as Easyjet for some destinatons I use and all the extra you get is a soggy sandwich and a cup of tea. Also, their reputation for being **** poor with luggage isn't unfounded. I had to ask my work to stop flying me with BA when they lost my luggage for the fourth time in 1 year.

I only fly BA if ther is no other alternative.
