Ford Focus styling help

You get a slight deeper tone in induction noise, as for gains mine felt like it pulled slightly better around 4-6k rpm.
 
Good luck with fitting the Eibachs :) The torture of fitting them is pretty well compensated with how the suspension is improved!

Sorry if repeating what has already been said but i am joining in 11 pages through.

I have a zetec as well. Clear side repeaters was a good move. Deff worth doing, very cheap and makes surprisingly big difference. I got standard ford 1s off a mondeo rather than more "blingy" after market ones.

The other good mod i have do for looks is the lower the suspension. Car is now 30mm lower and sit so much nicer. Dont know if thats a more involved job that you were intending but really is a good way to improve looks. Only 30mm is still quite subtle as well.

Would also suggest the chrome tail pipe as well like. some1 else has already posted a pic of their car and looks good. Still need to get one for my car!!!!
 
Are you going to fit these yourself Tom?, let us know how you get on if you are.

Ive recently got the genuine Ford exhaust trim, got it for £15 from ebay and with a quick polish with some Autosol its looks brand new.
 
Eibach 30mm fitted. Handling is immense now. Can corner a lot harder than before sorted out the whole 4x4 issue aswell ;)

ffs get it colour coded otherwise it looks like it belongs in tesco car park
 
Looks awesome Tom! :D Handling is rather good isn't it! Watch those arb links though, I broke one of mine abusing the handling :D .

Colour coding can be more of a pig then fitting that suspension!

A bit firmer, not too much. The handling really is something else though.

Oh and it will always look like it belongs in Tescos car park no matter how many cosmetic mods I do...It's a Focus!
 
1CE I see your thinking of selling up soon mate (ffoc) and your selling your cams and pullys what else will you be selling in time?

Will be sorry to see another focus go :( :)
 
Ohh selling up for what exactly?

I'm keeping mine till the end of this year at least (will have owned for 2 years). Then I may have to wave good bye to the old girl :p
 
Sorry to bring this thread up again but...

ive got a mk1 focus with the horrible orange indicators and repeaters which I intend to replace with smoked ones to match the rear lights i intend to buy. However I wasn't sure if I needed to buy new bulbs aswell as the current ones are standard clear ones.

Yeah, you will need to buy new bulbs. Standard fit is a white bulb shining through the orange lenses. With the lesnes repalced by clear ones, you'll need bulbs whihc actually shine orange. Sometimes they come shipped with the lenses anyway; when I bought my side repeaters from Ford Parts UK they came with orange replacement bulbs.

Edit: You can buy bulbs with chromed glass but which still shine orange. This can help alleviate the 'fried egg' effect where even though the lenses are orange, you can still see the coloured bulb. Below is a pic of my car with orange bulb and you can see the effect. Might be something to consider if you want a completely clean look.

Ello,

I'm selling up to get an Audi S3 :D . Cams and pulleys have gone, I put a thread in the for sale section on ffoc, things like st airbox and snorkel, but my boss at work has told me he'll give me 4k for it if I keep it as it is, and thats with 98k on the clock!

I'll poist with more info when im more sobar! I has snakebite! :D
