Sounds damn brutal.

The workout

a) Pullups - 25 reps

b) Deadlifts with 135lbs - 50 reps

c) Pushups - 50 reps

d) 24-inch Box jumps - 50 reps

e) Floor wipers - 50 reps

f) Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps

g) Pullups - 25 reps

All to be done in 20 minutes. I'm tired just thinking about it. lol.

Well its not a workout... its the "test" they had after all the grueling training the actors did. It just looks mad and throwing "300" or "spartan" before a workout sells men's health magazines.

Lets compare my puny abilities to that then:

a) Pullups - 25 reps - I can do 10 with palms facing me (bicep-pulls) and maybe 2 with palms away (how they do it on the video)

b) Deadlifts with 135lbs - 50 reps I can do 3x8 with 60lbs + bar

c) Pushups - 50 reps I could probably do this but not after the above

d) 24-inch Box jumps - 50 reps I've never tried but it looks brutal

e) Floor wipers - 50 reps Again I've never tried but I bet that works your abs something good. I'm not sure I could lift 135lb and hold it for the whole 50 reps

f) Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps Never seen this before

g) Pullups - 25 reps as above

All to be done in 20 minutes. I'm tired just thinking about it. lol.

That is some serious ****

Just thinking about it - In the Marines thread there's a post which shows you what you need to be able to achieve for the entry test. On the pull ups the maximum you can do is 6 in 2 minutes! 50 + all the rest is under 20 mins is crazy

It's a test only 17 of them were 'invited' to do and only one managed to pass.

The guy who managed to pass was Andrew Pleavin, who was the leader of the Arcadians and he did it in just over 18 minutes.

No one else managed it.

I think this is a better article --> http://munfitnessblog.com/how-to-build-300-warriors-body-with-gym-workout/

I think the box jumps would be the real killers! Those would be the ones to wipe me out and were I'd struggle.

If my life depended on it I could probably get upto and complete set F... I really don't think I'd be abole to complete 25 pullups at the end though!

This workout is heavily weighted in favour of the smaller guy. I could do it if I lost 2 stone... maybe :)

I wonder if their form on those movements were perfect though. I could imagine alittle swinging on the pull ups.

Well, reading the articles implies the trainer wasn't one to accept poor form and so to complete his test you had to be as near as damn it perfect.

Bodyweight. The less you weigh the easier that workout would be.

Reading through the site, the guys were specifically not trained like bodybuilders and didn't eat that much at all; the aim being they were very strong functionally, fit and ripped.
