Is thier a race circuit or Area in scotland Or a place where people show up with thier custom made cars and such, You know just to race against other people, Friendly i might add.

I know there is one in london.

Proper Racetrack.

Theres knockhill

Trackdays appear to be £109

but theres no racing. You wont find any publicly accessible track allows racing or overtaking

unless you go illegal street racing, or try and enter some form of legal competition. But you wont find modified Peugeots and Fords at those. Serious competitors only.

Theres a facility near Edinburgh airport with a couple of small tracks. I went to a Mazda Corporate day there.

you'll find that on an open track day or club track day or whatever where you bring your own car along theres no racing or overtaking in the corners. And no timing either

only way you'll do a proper race with 1st 2nd 3rd and timed laps etc.. is to enter a proper competition. Or as posted above, go to somewhere with a drag strip (didnt know there was one other than the Pod !!)

Knockhill track days are good fun, no need to race each other, race yourself, try and better yourself.
Just watch out for the stupid Evo drivers who ruin everyone elses day continuously.

The only one i can think of is ingliston, but that was shut down as a race circuit many year ago after the RAC said it was un safe with no run off areas. Which is a shame as it was an awesome sprint track.

this was only a year or two ago. The tracks were quite small- it was more like a testing facility than a full blown race track tbh but am suprised it is not used for track days. I can't remember at all the address of it but I remember it being inside the grounds of the airfield unless it was a miltary base??? Drank far too much beer after the event so don't remember much:D

must have been ingliston, now only used as the highland showground and max power shows, used to be a proper race track back in the day.

ingliston is like 1min from the airport just outside the airport grounds, surrounded by car parking now and with an auction house next door. Jackie Stewart wanted to create a formula one track on the land but the locals and the scottish government refused saying it meant too much hastle, stupid fools!
