never been before, girls just rang me up cos they are out on the lash at a foam party to ask if i wanted to go with them and to ask a few of the lads, said i would cos iv never been before, lineup are mostly unknowns to me, but ill have fun no doubt :D
 
Yeh i saw that list earlier today, to begin with, how did GG expect the game to provide a 'teaser', as soon as 1 person got it, the point of the game was nullified! Kinda backfired!

However, there are more acts to be named, roll on the 28th! Ill be getting my VIP ticket on the 25th, thatll be my student loan gone but hey its worth it (in my eyes).

Im just praying that the rumours about Kanye West being added to the line up is not true. Deffinately not the right festival for him!

I found it hilarious chav-spotting. Got annoying when constantly asked by scummers "can I get a hit on that mate?" lol.
Am def not going by myself so have to miss out :(

Would really like to see Moby. Seen most of those Dj's before. Van Buuren was sick when I last went. Ferry Corsten was disappointing tbh. The drum n bass tents and shacks are really awesome tbh. gotto laugh at it all sometimes tbh.

Went last year, was my 1st time, really enjoyed it, but I dont feel the same urge as to go this year. The queueing was awful last year, 4 hours to get in, and stuck in the queue behind the porta-loos for 30 mins was not pleasing either.
 
AYe no Erol bit of a let down, he rocked it at 07. Seen him plenty anyway since, plus seeing him again at Warehouse Project for the Turbo records night with Tiga, should be a good do.
Some big names are missing from that line up though, Summer Sound Systems trance line up doesnt touch Globals though which is a bit of a let down, but they've got some really good acts on that i'd wanna see.
Toss up between SSS and GG.

The queuing in 07 was awful, you're correct about 06 though, it was just straight in for everyone. You must be mistaking 07 for 06 there andy, unless you got there mega late on the friday evening when queues were dying down because I was queuing from like 10am till 3pmish i think. Awful.
 
Right, the final headliner got announced this morning, Kanye West. Although i'm a little disapointed, it was expected. I am looking forward to seeing him though as it deafinately is something different and i will be checking it out.

The other big announcement for today is that the main stage will be jmuch bigger this year, the same size as the one that was at Live8, oh yes!

I can't wait for this year now!

To be honest i'm looking forward to it, ii can always retire to the GK tent once ive had enough of Moby and Kanye. Looking forward to Moby the most.
 
Glad I'm not going, only about 3 or 4 DJ's I would want to see, Proteus, Tiesto (and not for very long), Lisa Lashes, Sean Tyas. Marcus Schulz aswell.

I still can't believe people pay for something so commercial just because it is seen as cool to do it (glaso etc) why not do something different and go to an event abroad.

id pay the cash and more just for the turbo records arena anyway ! everything on that label is pure gold. the new "proxy" tracks are filth. absolute filth . erol alkan played em last weekend and nearly blew the roof off.
 
Well for me there are a lot of artists i want to see, it's a shame DJ Yoda isn't playing again this year as i missed most of his set last year. He's starting/started a new tour which looks quite good, DJ Yoda's Magic Cinema Show.

I do see your point of going abroad to a festival, the problem is it's looking like i'll be quite busy during this years main festival period and the fact GG is so close to my house, just makes more sense to stick with Global...for now at least. Well here are the acts im looking forward to seeing., obviously i won't be able to see all of them.

The reason i hate the idea of Kanye West playing isn't because i despise hip-hop*, I simply wouldn't watch him, but because of the clientele he is likely to attract.

* ok so it is but you get my point
 
I wouldn't pay to see Dj Yoda again, saw him play a vs set against scratch perverts and both are just crap now.

Seen both of them before in the past and they were very original but now its just the same **** different place.

They're introducing rap music to the gathering? Are they jealous that the Bulldog Bash had a shooting and they didnt? Oh well, just a different group of people to watch stumbling round town on the sunday morning!
