Everybody's Golf (PS3)

I was playing this last ngiht (divaboy knows - he kicked my arse again) and I wondered why this game was not running at 1080p

The visuals aren't exactly ground breaking and there's not a lot going on onscreen at the same time

I know that the camera travels across the landscape to follow the ball etc but surely 1080p for a golf game is not beyond the PS3 ?.

It's arrived. Woohoo :D

I'll have a practice when I get in from work and then maybe see you guys later if I'm any good.

seen you guys online... but you must have been ingame.

I'm now on Beginner level but still no new maps :(

The 18 holes we had last night was good. I was happy because I won it at -14 which is a record for me. However it nearly went all wrong on the last hole. using advanced shots I selected ‘high power mode’ but didn’t realize that I didn’t have any left until the club was on the down swing. Meaning I had to hit it perfect or it’s a miss hit, ball went straight up and landed behind a tree making the next shot just as bad. So I was 3 shots behind everyone else at the same position on the fairway.

That guy from the states was 1 shot behind me during the whole game and I thought that the game was lost all on the last hole. After scoring a double boogie I still won!

For those who I play against I have to apologize when online, it’s so hard to type anything in the allocated time so I just use the set texts. I am not being arrogant it’s just a right pain.

I noticed a fair few are on level 3 and such, play more SP games to get that level up and unlock some of the advanced players. Then you can drive over 300 yards off the tee making some par 5 holes reachable in 2 shots.

Great game. Just a few fixes I would like in an update.

1: when online searching for ‘friends’ it only shows what lobby they are in if they aren’t in a game there, I would still like to join the lobby and wait for them but you cant do this forcing you to PM them out of the game to ask where they are.
2: more time between holes to type stuff AND the option for all players to speed this up at the time by clicking ‘ready’?
3: VOIP!!!!
4: custom music.

I didnt know this  - how do you know when you've run out ? and how many do you usually get ?.

I also only started to use high power mode yesterday for the first time - including backspin & topspin - I should've paid more attention - I could've been using these things days ago :(

Ok first off your talking about two seperate things. The 'set the ball alight on the green' top and back spins are free (AFAIK) bit mean to get one you need to add the opposite spin you disire when setting the power (up swing) then hit the right way at the same time as when you hit the ball (to stop the down swing). But you need it to be perfect too so its not easy. Your golfer gets a blue light around him to confirm you did this and when it lands on the green it lights up the ball and you get loads of spin.

The power shots are set using the square button i think (up left of x :p). There are two settings, but i dont know what the differences are as they give me the same distance. Again you have to hit a perfect shot to use them. In the bottom right of the screen there is a number in a circle which shows how many you have. This goes down when you try to use one but dont hit a perfect shot but stays the same if you use it and get a perfect shot. The number of these you get is awarded to you the longer you use the same player (loyalty points).

I think i get about 8 of them with my fav player.

i can drive upto 325 yards at the moment with my 295 yard player using them.
