They polished that off quickly, apparently the first one is being shown on Sky One tonight.

Any updates on the second one?
 
Ark of Truth? It won't be much... just an extra long episode of Stargate basically.

Continuum should be better as it has nothing to do with the lame story arc that was the "Ori".
 
its not bad - standard stuff really but at least it does clear up the storyline.

i find that i prefer atlantis these days anyway - SG1 just seems past its sell by date.
 
It's a double episode that went straight to DVD, the sets look very cheap compaired to other stuff.
 
It wasn't a bad 'film', ended the Ori arc off acceptably. Continuum should be much better - mostly because it's got Jack & Ba'al in it :D always loved the stories involving them !
 
never understood the amount of hype that preceeds these 'movie' versions of tv shows, like NathanE said, its just an extra long episode. They always seem to think that having a bigger budget for better special effects makes these movies better than the regular tv episodes - I disagree, I find they loose the charm of the regular episodes a little where the focus is moved from the characters to the special effects.
 
Well if what you say is anything to go by then The Ark of Truth was in-keeping with the series - it certainly didn't have a huge CGI budget - at least not anything much bigger than the series had ...

That's because only Stargate fans have seen it yet... :)

I am an SG fan... but after all the years of speculation about a real proper Hollywood sequel to Stargate the "Ark of Truth" falls way short of the mark.

For starters much of the regular cast of SG wouldn't fit into a Hollywood film because they have spent too many years in TV.

Here's hoping Continuum will be better (and on paper the screenplay between Ba'al and O'neil will be awesome :D) but it really needs to "up" the production values as well IMO.
 
You know I liked ark of truth it needed to be rounded off and it done the job nicely, thrown in a few surprises also but yeah it was just a very long but good SG1 episode.

I think they have pretty much toppped and done everything in the last 10 years of SG1 history so we aint gonna see too much new.

But I gotta admit with Continuum that sounds simply amazing storyline something to look forward to end of this year anyhow cos sod all is on frankly:)
 
Didnt they do a few timeline ones already and a artic one where sam and jack were trapped. I had hoped for somit better like a proper earth invasion where it was invaded and occupied cut 10 years ahead then earth got a rebellion started and kicked them out the end. :p

Yeah well it was just a example or somit movie quality story. Timetravel hmph tho i mean its overdone on startrek now on stargate.
