Times must be hard for Jackie Chan....

Bit odd but one of the things I've always liked about Jackie Chan is that he isn't afraid to take the mickey out of himself, that and the fact that Drunken Master is one of the greatest Kung Fu films of all time.

Have to agree with that; shame it took him so long to break America and that all his films are now trash movies.

No hes not. His parents just live there after moving from HK iirc.

They did, but he was only 17 years old at the time (I've read his autobiography).

He subsequently spent a few years in Canberra, and has Australian citizenship. So yes, he's an Aussie.

Edited to correct myself: just thumbed through his autobiography again; he was about 19 when he moved to Australia (his parents moved first; he followed them later from Hong Kong, where he was still living and training at a Chinese opera academy).

Following the recent death of his father, he donated a new science centre to the Australian National University.

A taxi driver who was taking me home from work a few weeks ago had just picked someone up from this shoot with Jackie Chan. From what the guy told the taxi driver, they only had Jackie for a few hours, as he was flying back home and they actually wanted to do more with him, but there is no way they could make such a big name actor stay any longer for their commercial.

Still quite random that he did it in the first place.

isn't a bad advert imo, he is in leading role's for 2 films that are in post production as we speak, its good money for a days work, and its what he loves.... no big deal.
