Norwich Trip!

Hi guys this weekend im off to Norwich with a few mates for 3 days! I dont know exactly where we are staying, i just knows that it's just outside the city center! So you guys from Norwich (im sure there are some :P) could you please recommend some decent night clubs and bars in the city center area?

Riverside is a good shout although its getting worse, personally I'd start off in old Norwich; The Glasshouse 'JD Wetherspoon pub', then head onto Yates, then Chicago's and/or Mercy on Prince of Wales street.

all within 5mins of each other, will be a good night.

A man with a plan, Glasshouse is always a good place to start. Personaly not a fan of Mercy but its worth a visit, do make it your last stop though its at the bottom of Prince Of Wales Rd. Its not much of a hill but a hill none the less and who wants to walk UP a hill?
 
Haha, why are you coming down here? Avoid Prince of Wales Road at all costs, horrid place full of horrid people and mostly horrid places.

There is loaaads and loaads of really nice pubs around, but I'm not to well versed on clubs, me and my friends have never been into that sort of thing.
 
I loathe Norwich - my girlfriend comes from the area and hates it too.

That said, Optics on the Prince of Wales road was the one enjoyable night I've had out in Norwich.
Avoid the Riverside like the plague in my opinion.

I would also like to ask this, being a Norwich folk I tend to avoid the place. I would also suggest while your here that you visit the FatCat, my sort of pub. Not been for awhile though :(
 
id recommende either lloyds which is on riverside or the glasshouse which is nearer Anglia square to get tanked up on before you go and boogie on the dance floor

Waterfront - King Street (great studenty club - 80's nights rock!)
 
I really like Norwich, is always nice to be home. If you're not into RnB that kind of thing, avoid Prince of Wales and Riverside, it's full of ***** and the bars and club are generic rubbish. Waterfront as mentioned is a good alternative night on a Saturday. Check out the belgian monk, that's a good bar. Infact there are a lot of nice places near there and around tombland. Have a good time.

Fat Cat is an amazing pub as mentioned. It's a long way out of the City Center but well worth it if you like proper beer and fancy a walk!
 
Waterfront is great. This weekend you've got:

Friday: Main Room - 80s NIGHT - Ultimate 80s classic anthems. In the Studio - Motown
Saturday: Main Room - MELTDOWN - Indie, Rock, Pop, Alternative. In the Studio - The award wining BRITPOPPIN - Guitar bands of the 90s with DJ Flob.
 
Got back yesterday and it was a good laugh! Mind you i only remember the names of 2 places! Glasshouse Weatherspoons pub and Chicagos! What is with Chicagos? Old bitch city lol!
