I want 'club speakers'.

Eugh... Club speakers have zero midrange, and just pump out a ton of bass and treble...

Hmm I would look at JBL, they seem to be used a fair bit... I bet they're not cheap though.

Arnt these stage speakers? There proberbly completely wrong for a small room enviromant, where do you want these?

Just as a side not as i cant answer your question, iv never found club speakers to be very good for bass. My old car subs (possably due to enclosed space) had much more kick and quality to them.

So the 685s aren't working out for you then :D

Perhaps some SVS speakers?

Alternatively Oceana use the CVA One Voice speakers which are immense, but not exactly cheap ;)

But honestly if you just want lots of unrefined crappy bass, get some PC speakers or an amp with a sub preout :)

A good subwoofer and some nice speakers would provide a nicer sound, but if you want something like you mention, then i guess you should just look at PA type stuff.

dj shops will sell them. they sound dump to me but horses for courses :)

If you do go for a club- sort of speaker (i.e. find a cheap second hand one that is halfway decent), they will need something with plenty of power to drive them well (and probably at least BiAmping)

Look at most manufacturers Commercial systems...

Tannoy
JBL
Bose
etc. etc.
They will probably sound pretty dire at reasonable sound levels unless you want to spend a shed load though.

Surely a set of B&Ws and a nice, lively amp would be better for that 'party' sound and actually sound decent when being played at less than window- shattering volumes?

Well, he wanted speakers you find in a club. He didn't say which club. ;)

They do make some amazing speakers though. I stood in front of one of their double infra bass horns and damn, it was like being cocooned in the loving embrace of the mother of all basslines.

I do know they make a range of speakers so he might be able to find second hand smaller ones for something almost remotely considered affordable.

Funny you mention that, i was sat inside one on friday in Digital in newcastle. Hardstyle music blew my brains out haha :D

The speakers you see in clubs - the ones that produce a HUGE amount of noise and bass. Can someone link me or provide advice?
the best base ive found from a house speaker is a american company called.....cervin vega.
they are really rich in the base department.

shame cerwin vega are actually dump quality.

the drivers look nice though. style wise anyway

So that's what they are

There's a club in Manchester called Pure which has some Funktion-One DanceStack speakers.

It's the loudest and bassiest club system I've ever heard. Absolutely mental!

Aye they are a mint sounding setup. Digital has a full dance stack setup, 2 either side of main stage and maybe 1 or 2 at the back from what i vaguely remember (normally goosed when im there)... worth a bloody fortune. But sound sweet!
